Definitely better than the 2002 version. Even if the 2002 version was a bit truer to the book.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I assume that you have seen Tarkovsky's Solaris.

PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Do any of you own a CHASING AMY dvd that contains the cut scenes? Apparently there is a scene that might be completely lost where Ben meets Illeana Douglas, who plays as "Alyssa's roommate".
I should be able to find it somewhere online, but if the scene is in a special edition, please give me a shout. Apparently it was a great scene but cut for "time", which usually means it was cut for another reason.

^I thought it was a Kung-Pow sequel, but that looks pretty good too.

We watched the RoboCop remake this weekend.
They took the most violent and f-bomb laden movie of my childhood and made it semi-logical plot wise. I guess that explains why the movie seemed less violent, visually, and not as vulgar.

Did you watch the actual trailer or just the leak? The actual trailer was way better I thought. Still nothing compared to the Star Wars trailer.Luke wrote:So we're supposed to get an extra fifteen minutes of Batman v Superman today, right?
Although I didn't care for the trailer, I am looking forward to the additional footage.

Yeah, this is clearly meant to be a gift for us 80s kids. It blew my mind that The Hoff did a music video for it. That's nostalgia overload.Forlorn Drifter wrote:^I thought it was a Kung-Pow sequel, but that looks pretty good too.

Both! Didn't care for either. It's only a trailer, but it stinks of brooding Snyder direction.Stark wrote:Did you watch the actual trailer or just the leak? That said the Star Wars trailers are incredible. Knowing that almost every shot of BB-8 is not cgi makes it even more impressive. JJ even said "We wanted as little cgi as possible".

Apparently Unforgiven was remade as a samurai film starring Ken Watanabe in 2013. Huh.

I do not know why everyone is raving so much over the Star Wars teasers and trailers (beyond that it's Star Wars). They honestly are not giving us very much information. Much better quality than the Fantastic 4 and especially the Batman v Superman ones, but still not all that much to get worked up about. Frankly, I think Marvel has trailers down pretty well at this point. They seem to be doing a much better job giving us actual information about what to expect from their movies.
