Yes! Shrimp and bok choy is the best. So easy too!

Crushed and yet somewhat relieved: My grandmother passed away this morning. I didn't expect it to go this fast, she was home for merely a week in home hospice. I've been back to visit her every weekend in the New Year after the holidays. This past weekend she was in seriously rough shape, and it was particularly hard for me to deal with because she was clearly confused and in significant pain. I'm just comforted knowing she's at peace now. She was an absolute role model for me, extremely giving, always had my best interest at heart, and taught me so much about life. To put it simply she was a saint and angel for me.

Smile: I've been growing acorns from the oak tree in the back yard since fall. She told me the story of this tree that is a few years younger than me. Evidently a squirrel buried an acorn (like squirrels do) in one of her flower pots, and it grew into a little sapling. I thought the story was so cute, so I tried my hand at it. I germinated them in our fridge, then planted them in flower pots in our windowsill in January. They're quickly taking off, and I'll plant them in the UP at my parent's house to honor her memory.

Blu, I am sorry for your loss man. It is always good to know that she had an impact on your life though. I always find it sad, but also relieving that there was a person who actually meant something to you and lived a long and mostly happy life. It is truly heartbreaking when there is a person who passes with no one to mourn for them. My wife is a nurse and has seen that and it is a terrible thing to witness.

You seem to be in an excellent frame of mind considering the circumstances. You'll be in my thoughts.

Smile: This is funny. Mean, but funny.

edit*

Big Smile: I just drove around my neighborhood pretending my Focus was a snowspeeder and that I was on planet Hoth.

Like you've never done that.

I'm hoping I don't have something similar around the corner. Chin up dude. The fact you're a little relieved means you're on the right road to coping though.

Unless you tossed out a tow hook and wrapped up some trees or light poles, I think you were doing it wrong. :P

:) Feeling a bit better today.

:? Have to call customer service. Might have had some credit card info stolen. Yay.

:x When did so many people on this forum decide to collectively get their panties in a bunch? FFS people.

Edit: I remember when I would come here and talk about games and people would have interesting arguments and discussions without crying all the time. Maybe I shouldn't bother anymore.

Head over the "Games Beaten" thread. It is much nicer there.
