I've been collecting for about four years now. I was on my school's varsity fencing team all four years of high school (I was co-captain sophomore and junior years and captain senior year). I just got dumped by my girlfriend of over two and a half years a couple weeks ago, so I went on a small "shopping therapy" spending spree to try to make myself feel better. It didn't work, but my collection is about a dozen games bigger nonetheless. My Backloggery page is always up to date, and I posted a thread in the Game Room forum earlier tonight.
Welcome Stephen! I actually did the exact same program--but at another school. I'm from Marquette, Michigan, but I spent three years in Eastern Carolina, Cherry Point to be exact. Sorry about the girlfriend bit, but hey at least you have something that will make you happy!

Hi all! My name is Emil and I live in the cold northren part of Europe called Sweden. I study at the university and have for all my life played/collected retro games. I dont know why but my childhood memories often involves either Sonic or Mario, thats my gaming still to today is a big part of my life. I play the new systems like 360 and PS3, but I always go back to my NES and reminisce to when Nintendo ruled the world!
I hope to talk to crazy gamers from all over the globe and to tell my passion for the games that created the man I am today.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hello there. I'm Adrian. I'm 25, from the Newcastle in the UK and collect games for most popular games consoles, old and new. I'm quite fond of Nintendo games and products. I love to pick up rare and unusual consoles/controllers. Currently I'm building a Sega Saturn collection and I've recently started a blog reviewing games, controllers and also cereal bars. I've found this website to be very useful for all sorts of games information. Hope to meet some nice people and continue to read some excellent posts and features. Thanks

Hey all! I'm Mike. 19 and from Jersey. I love retro gaming with Nintendo consoles being my favorites but i do like Sega and Sony stuff as well anything retro really. Favorite game? idk however World of Warcraft is pretty awesome. I'm an avid ska fan(original, 2tone, ska punk, ska core, everything) and love listening to punk and reggae music as well. underground music is where it's at. love it hahah. nothing better than kicking back with a fat joint, listening to some reggae, and shredding retro games. i work in pest control with my dads company and am about to get a new job with a bigger company. I love pro sports. my teams are the Giants, Yankees, magic, clippers, and my favorite team being the flyers lol.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
I've been meaning to join up here for awhile and totally forgot ... until about five minutes ago.
I'm 28, from Oregon; I love video games, especially classics. Trying to build a solid collection (and make time to play them). My favorite console is SNES (surprise), but I also have a lot of love for the Saturn and Sega CD. I have an incredibly strong desire to build arcade cabs (not just for straight emulation, but also for unique experiences) when I have the funds.
I'm a computer scientist by trade with some plans for game development in the near future; and I look forward to getting deeper into this community.
