The fact is wii u will be amazing and it technology will of course be ahead of anything that's out right now. That s just a fact and also The wii was and is fantastic and this will have all nintendo has to offer along with Hd and now current generation graphics

I plan to have this day one im not waiting to see how powerful it is cause i know nintendo and this system will be great. To not buy a system based on not being hyped at e3 is really just ridiculousness. You should be more afraid of the stuff that looks to great.
Facts huh, those sound an awful like like opinions to me.

Not everyone has the same dedication to brand loyalty as you, marketing matters and E3 left most fence-sitters less than excited for their new console.

BACK ON TOPIC:

I've actually stopped shopping at Gamestops that throw away used DS cases and manuals. I'm assuming its a management decision since some stores still have them and others don't. I don't look at anything else in the store if I see only loose DS games, I'm not giving them my business.
Okay, let's say that I agree with you about the Wii U (I don't, I'm pretty psyched about it). Even then, can you honestly say that either Microsoft or Sony deserved a higher score than Nintendo for their presentations?
I thought they all sucked pretty equally myself.

yeah, some stores do that now. Bastards :(

I'm sure pretty soon they are gonna do this with 360 games if they havent already.

I dont have a 360 yet, but I'm tempted to buy some games to avoid getting them later without the case.

This happened with the OG xbox. By the time I got into collecting them, most at gamestop were disc only/generic case.

have you guys noticed that some stores move slow moving product to others? The one in the mall where I work at, moved all their used psp games to another store. They do have a few in their back drawers. But no longer have a used display area.

They also did this with GC games some months ago when they went clearance. Not that there was much to begin with.

Not so with my stores. The majority of oXbox games were in the original boxes until the day they got rid of them. Now, Gamecube is a different story. Last I checked, my Gamestop had one row of GCN games, and only like 5 of them weren't in Gamestop cases.

Yeah, I've seen that before. One of my Walmarts got several new PSP games a few weeks ago that I hadn't seen in stores in quite a while, such as Daxter.

I don't think my local store does this (hell, they've still got a huge display of PS2 games on the wall), but I know they do in St. Augustine. I found a PSP game I wanted there and when they weren't able to find it (and that poor woman looked EVERYWHERE.), she told me that it might have gotten sent to another store because the PSP games weren't really selling well. They still had a display up, but it was one of those end racks. I just thought it was weird that they would send the PSP games off when they still had a pile of GBA games under the counter.

Well, I for one buy more GBA games than PSP games, even now. There's still so many more people with the ability to play GBA games than PSP that I wouldn't be surprised if the former sells faster.

I had a weird experience yesterday. I went in to a gamestop pretty far from my house since I was meeting a friend and wanted to beat traffic and needed somewhere to hang out. So I went to the gamestop and looked around and there weren't any PS2 or Gamecube games. I was thinking about leaving but I really wanted to swap the discs on a couple PS2 games I'd bought the day before so I asked the cashier if they had any PS2 games. And she says, "Well...not really.... but if you're looking for a certain one I can look it up and see if we have it." Long story short she taunts me by letting me peek in the back where they have piles of Gamecube and PS2 games in the box that she won't let me actually look through. By now there was a line and she was the only person working so that's probably why. She said they sent most of their gamecube games to another store which I then went to and got some solid stuff from. So glad they're buy two get TWO free now. But yeah I thought it was weird they were just keeping them on ice in the back and would still sell them...if you begged and pleaded with them.

The Bad: Placed a hold request online and receive an email a couple hours later confirming the game is there waiting for me - that was yesterday ... morning. I drop by the GS after work just now and the guy behind the register comes back with a note on my printout, "Please switch to "unavailable", sorry accidentally hit yes". The asshole who wrote the note could have taken the time to call me (since my number is on the damn printout) instead of being a complete lazy fuck.

What was the game? Does Gamestop online now show unavailable?

The one mall near me does this. There's a much larger store a few miles down the road from it and pretty much everything older or niche is being sent there. It's to the point I've stopped visiting the one in the mall because the stuff I want is only at the other store 90% of the time
