I had to replace the board on my 4 slot since it was giving the B240 error. But if it is only Strikers not working, its most likely the cart - sad to say.
But you already knew that, you are a wiz with cabs.
Yeah. This one's a tough call though. Z80 errors are usually the motherboard or cart slot, but like you said, other games work. I want to believe the mobo is OK, but the previous owner had it mounted poorly under a lot of stress, and it was running serious over-current (like 20% too high voltage wise). Toning the voltage back to the correct levels fixed the graphic issues on bust-a-move, but not the boot error with strikers. It would seem odd (if it was a motherboad problem) that 2 games would work fine and just one would not, but the pin arrangement is a bit different on strikers than the other carts, so it's not impossible that the cart is OK.
At this point I want to test the cart on someone elses motherboard. If it still errors out, then obviously it's the cart. If it works, new motherboard it is. I don't care which one I have to replace, since I got this cab for a steal.

Picked up lots of random stuff this week.
I got another Konami PnP for $3. I found one a few months back but the battery compartment was corroded to hell and it's sitting in my "to-fix" pile. This one works perfectly so I'll eventually get around to replacing the springs and contacts in the other one and selling or gifting it. Also got another Ms Pac-man PnP for $4. Again, a nice cheap gift for my game nerd friends.
I'm feeling some remorse about getting this one today but I found a complete Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time/Master Quest for the Gamecube for $25. I found one at a thrift store last year for $2 but there was no manual and it was in a generic DVD case with what looks to be a store display insert card for the cover. I'm not a huge Zelda guy so I don't mind disc only but as a collector it bugs me. It was slightly lower than the average going rate so I impulse bought. I hope to get a good amount of the money I spent on the complete version by selling off the disc and generic case.
I'll just list the rest. Nothing amazing, all thrift store stuff.
- 2 1st party Gamecube controllers ($2 each)
- 2 3rd party Camecube controllers ($1 each)
- 2 Mad Catz Xbox guns ($2 each)
- Adventure Island 2 Gameboy ($5)
- Gamboy plastic carry case ($2)
- Original Xbox with all cables & 2 controllers ($10) - I'm really happy to finally find a working back up for my Xbox.
- Official NES AC adapter ($2) *NOTE: always check the boxes of random cords*
- Tecmo Super NBA Basketball SNES ($0.90)

Today its not a look what I found, but Look what I endebted myself with my credit card.
I need my fire emblem fix so I had to buy another 3DSXL.
With my worker discount I got it for $195 (rounded up)
yeah whatever!
But heres the good part!
Sears has a points program where you get some future discounts on your next purchase.
So for buying this handheld console, I was awarded some freebie money. A promo gave me an extra $11.00 and using my credit card, I was given another $30! Dont know the exact details (overall which points went to what), but freebie money is good.
but I cant use it yet

I'll be able to in a few days.
When I am able to use it, I am definitely gonna get Shin Megami Tensei IV. I have to order it online from sears. I pretty much am gonna get this game real cheap.
$30 ninendo points here I COME!

I think 18 bucks is usually a fair price for most Dreamcast capcom games (although games like Tech romancer and cannon spike are more expensive)
I still stand by my best buy being Xenoblade chronicles for 40 bucks when it first came out, still have it factory sealed
