Went to Goodwill on 50% off day and found a Sony KV27FS120 27" FD Trinitron WEGA flat screen. They are usually priced between $40-$60 and i've passed by Sony TV's there before, but snagged this one for $20.

Own a 20'' flat screen JVC CRT that I thought S-video consoles looked good through, but have hooked up the Wii and Genesis and no doubt the picture quality is much improved.

Well i went ahead and picked up the $40 move bundle from best buy and I have to say its pretty nice. Was half expecting it to be open box or something since it was $60 off their original price and $20 cheaper then amazon. However it was perfectly fine no damage to the box or anything just standard clearance. Surprisingly I saw the same bundle at a Target while I was shopping with my mom less then a mile away for $130 :P.

Only thing I don't like about it is the lake of charging cables :P had to scavenge some from around the house since I use a charger station for my PS3 controllers and seem to have misplaced the one that came with the system. The energizer charging stations are on sale for $5.97 at my local game stop though so I will be picking up 2 of them tomorrow in anticipation of maybe getting a second Move Controller. Might end up just reserving another bundle since the move motion controllers themselves are $25 used at game stop :P. Although I might use my used product B2G1 that runs out on the 31st to get another motion controller, Pandora's Tower, and The Last Story.

Anyways here is a pic of the bundle.

Image

Included:
1 Motion Controller
1 PS3 Eye Camera
1 Navigation Controller
1 Demo Compilation Disc
1 Little Big Planet 2 Special Edition

Might play through Bioshock Infinite again to try it out. Should be pretty awesome.

Edit: I actually might get this bundle for $40 instead. Would end up with a spare camera but I think the Wonder book looks like a pretty cool accessory. I can always resell the camera on amazon for around a $10 profit anyways.

My favorite is still my old 34" widescreen Trinitron. I've never seen another one like it and looked classy.

The best part was that it had two component and four composite ports. My flat screen only has one of each and I don't want to have four AV switches. Maybe I should just upgrade my original Xbox to a component connection and find a cheaper VGA plug for the Dreamcast. (I swear those things were a dime a dozen a year and a half ago)

Banzaaai! Found a bit of a gold mine. Way more quantity than quality, but for someone like me trying to start all over again collecting I couldn't have asked for more. After I spent a certain amount the guy just started letting me grab whatever (within reason).

Cost per game: $1.39. As you'll be able to tell I focus mostly on Sega. NES is just a 'side project' for me, but honestly there was nothing special there. Game titles are probably a bit blurry but again nothing crazy in the way of rarity. I just kicked my SMS and Genesis collections in the ass though, which is great.

Nice work! I am definitely a "quantity" collector, and I would have been thrilled with that find.

Here are the good deals that I picked up for myself today:

Duke Nukem 64 (N64) - $1.5
Mortal Kombat Trilogy (N64) - $1.5
Chicken Run (PS1; CIB) - $0.25
WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game (SAT; CIB) - $5
Fatal Fury (SNES) - $1.5
Spawn (SNES) - $1.5
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 - $1.5
World Heroes 2 (w/ box!) - $1.5

...and here are the games that I picked up for resale (behind a spoiler tag because some people think it is poor form to list the cost of items you purchased for sale):
Pokemon Sapphire (GBA) - $3
Clayfighter 63 1/3 (N64) - $1.5
Killer Instinct Gold (N64) - $1.5
Mega Man 2 (NES) - $1.5
Bugs Bunny Lost in Time (PS1; CIB) - $0.25
Tomba 2 (PS1; CIB) - $0.25(!)
Street Fighter Alpha 2 (SNES) - $1.5

Damn, you found a power converter in the wild? I've had my eye on getting one for awhile but I don't want to pay the $30+ they go fof on Ebay.

Ok, I have been really lazy to post here for the longest time, but I'll finally post pictures now of my finds from the past week.

Image
This was my first successful garage sale a couple weeks back!!
17 N64 Games, N64 Rumble Pak (no cover :( )Sonic Battle GBA, Sonic Advance 3, a GBA SP case, a Clear "Play it Loud" GameBoy OG in case with tetris, and Mario Galaxy Pins (dont ask  ). All for $27. Not an amazing deal, but not bad at all (especially cause everything worked great).

Image
Earlier this week I picked up Kirby's Dream Collection at Best Buy for 7.99. I was very close to shelling out over $30 on amazon, glad I didn't 8) .

Image
Yesterday, I went to a garage sale not expecting to find anything, but I went anyway. Once I got there, I was right. There was nothing except a XBOX 360 headset. Right before I left, I asked the woman if she had any video games. A minute later, she comes out with an N64 in a PS2 box with cords and a controller. I got it for $7 and I got the headset (gonna sell, I have a PS3) for $.50 (And now I have a CIB PS2  ).She was so happy that I bought it that she gave me a free movie and told me the best pawn shop to find old games in (we have so many shitty pawn shops, so thats some very valuable info). Remember, ALWAYS ASK!!!

Image
Today I went to a garage sale. No games. Asked, no games. So on my way back I said why not stop by Goodwill. I was there before they opened so I had to wait 5 minutes. I looked around, found nothing. Then I saw a DVD big bin, and started to look through it... PS2 GAMES GALORE! My goodwill barely ever has games!!! Most of them sucked but I found a few, and I also found shinobi. $2.99 for PS2 games each, and $2.49 for shinobi.

Its been a good couple of weeks :D

Went to pick up the energizer play station move charger I had put on hold at game stop and got a pleasant surprise. The charger I received was not an energizer charger I had asked for but instead was an official Sony charger which had been mislabeled :). Was a little afraid that he grabbed the wrong charger and was going to charge the $20 price tag they are currently sporting on the website, but was relieved to see the sticker at check out :).

Also picked up a few games to try on the move while I was there. Got Kung Fu Rider for free with my B2G1 coupon, and was excited to find Dragon Quest Swords for $4.49 finally been playing inventory tag with it over the past few weeks. After taxes I spent $32.50 for the charging station and 5 games.

Everything but Socom 4 was complete in box.
Image

Also stopped by my regular pawnshop to see what move games they might have in stock and found some pretty sweet deals. Got all of this for $37.50 after taxes. Best deal was The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword 25th anniversary edition with bonus cd for $11. Everything is CIB and Motionsports Adrenaline is still sealed.
