I loved Final Fantasy Tactics Advance from the moment I picked it up, but I just can't seem to get into any other strategy based games so far… it's sad, really. Supposedly, there are a lot of games in that genre that I could possibly enjoy…

There's a few Shining games on the Saturn that aren't strategy RPG. I really liked Shining the Holy Ark (although I never finished it) which is more like a traditional RPG. Shining Wisdom is an action RPG. I never played much of it myself, but I always hear others saying good things about it.

Anyways, I was really enjoying Shining Force 3 on the Saturn. And I'm not much for strategy RPGs. I was maybe halfway through the game and decided to stop playing. I'm waiting for the fan-translations to be completed for the second and third episode. I was liking the game enough to wanna stop playing it. When those translations are finally completed, I'm gonna have a hell of a lot of fun playing through all three episodes.

They basically are done, I have burned copies of both and plan to jump back all in that and complete the trilogy soon. I know MarauderEX is doing a lets play for Scenario 2 translated version right now, and he has told me it has been pretty smooth sailing with the patched iso with just a few little hiccups that didnt break the game or anything...

Yeah, I see everything is either "beta" or "playable" now. But I waited this long, I'll just wait for the final release. :D

Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2. So far it's a huge improvement over the original.

Currently playing:
-Mega man X command Mission(ps2)
-Shin megami Tensei Strange Journey(DS)<--epic DS RPG!
-Tales of Vesperia(360, this game is kinda boring to me at least compared to Abyss)
-Resonance of Fate(360, taking a break from this)

I was playing FFXIII for a while on my friends Ps3, and I hated it....unsure if I will finish it.

I like it much better. The combo system in the original game was too complicated to set up. TOO MANY options.

On the other hand, I feel like battles can take a little longer on the new battle system. But I feel like the improvements outweigh the small negative aspect. And when I say long, I just mean longer than constantly pressing the skip button in the first game. Nothing could be longer than actually going through the battles in the first game WITHOUT using the skip button.

Man, Mass Effect 2 is awesome on Insanity difficulty! I'm doing stuff I never thought to do on normal difficulty, where your squad typically wipes everything out for you. Power combos with squad mates, overloading pyromaniacs and blowing them up, using tactical cover, it's all awesome. The game is much more strategic than I realized.
