What do you mean?

Do all 3DS's play DS games? God forbid, Nintendo secretly launched later Wii's that didn't support GC games anymore and there's like 400 3DS models now. So you never know. Would this one finally be a decent one for me to get? I like the look of it a lot and that price point is solid.

Can you elaborate?

Not trying to be silly here. As someone who doesn't have a 3DS, where in the blue heck do you even start at this point? I can't be the only one this confused or worried about picking up a bad model that doesn't do this or that like the others.

I honestly can't believe it this time... the new 2DS is actyally real... i tought it was a fake pic until i saw the official video. I think nintendo only likes to makes things hard to the retailers and consumers to buy something.

You could just skip the orginal 3ds and 2ds and just see how the "new" line is. Unless you really dig how the 2DS looks.

So a New 3DS XL would cost you $200. To me, with the improved head-tracking and 3D on that model, I'd go ahead and shell out the money to get the 3D, 'cause it is really cool when you feel like using it. And I'd love a model that didn't require quite so much "babying" to stay in the sweet spot, but I don't $200 love it. On top of that, I don't $150 love the New 2DS XL, either, given that I already have the 3DS XL. It'd take a price closer to the 2DS, somewhere between $100-120, for me to pick it if I didn't already have a 3DS XL. (The existing 2DS is only $80! Not the New line, though.)

Basically, I still see the choice as between the New 3DS XL and the 2DS. Unless you don't care for the 3D and have to have SNES VC and the couple of exclusive titles for the New line.

That's about right!

Aaaanyway, a summary:

2DS - Original CPU, no 3D, smaller screens, no clamshell
3DS - Original CPU, 3D, smaller screens
3DS XL - Original CPU, 3D, bigger
New 3DS - New CPU, more stable 3D, smaller screens
New 3DS XL - New CPU, more stable 3D, bigger
New 2DS XL - New CPU, no 3D, bigger

I want to add for Xeogred that the original 2DS looks like this:

Meaning it has a tablet-like design, and is very comfortable to hold.
You can get a brand new 2DS for around $120 these days, if not cheaper.
2DS does not support the 3D effect though, if that matters to you.

If the 3D effect does matter, just get a New 3DS XL.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

I really want an original 2DS, the 3DS really gave me cramps on my hands after 2 hours of play.

Yeah the original 2DS looks nice to me and is still tempting, if it's still around $70-80 or whatever it was. But with the old CPU I guess it can't do SNES and some other games very well? Hmm...

On another note, is Faxanadu awesome? Looks like it. I was looking into the DoReMi Fantasy composer, I guess she mainly does the Bomberman series. But some of the earlier titles she worked on look pretty cool.
