sure. Though this doesn't require me to make an account or tell it what games I have.

Given my Steam library and the amount of detritus in it, this would be a terrible idea for me.

Pretty much never use Steam. Have 58 games. Played all the games in steam I have. Only think I bought 2-3 of them. Rest I got free.

My randomly-chosen Steam game:

RFGen has a random game feature too.

Okay, time to go for the first 5 games it recommends for me. Let's see how awful this gets...

Police Quest Collection
Shadows: Price For Our Sins
Noitu Love 2 Devolution
Return NULL - Episode 1
Broken Sword 1 - Shadow of the Templars: Director's Cut

I've beaten Noitu Love 2, so... apparently I should be playing point-and-click adventure games. (And Noitu Love 2 is point-and-click, too, it's just insane, Treasure-style action instead.)

EDIT: Next five...

Yrminsul
Rex Rocket - heck yeah!
Hector: Episode 3
iBomber Defense Pacific
Velvet Assassin

How about randomly picking something off of my backlog/list to play?

You can do that from your backloggery account. It's under 'My Backloggery' then 'Fortune Cookie'

Backloggery thinks I should play Dragon Quest IX for DS.

Maybe we should start a 'play a random game recommended for you' thread or something. Lots of ways to choose a random game, might be fun to see what people try.

Sounds like a fun new thread - offshoot of the what are you playing one.

I got lazy with Backloggery years ago and didn't like using it for actual inventory, so I only update that when I beat games to first put them on there.

I have 42 games on my backlog list for Steam, some are games I've already beaten and just want to replay though.

25 games on a throwaway junk list I made for some stuff I haven't really touched either, but got in the first few indie bundles... or I have no idea how I got them at all and it kind of annoys me to even see them. So I tucked them away in this category. lol
