My dad and stepmom gave us a Vizio E321VL to replace our Trinitron (it's dying). I'm not skilled enough to do the quick fix and I like having a TV with HDMi (we use the Xbox 360 as a media center). Plus it was free.

Only problem is a lack of component ports (only has one). The Xbox looks great on it but I haven't tested older systems

So I seem to be finding video games at every yard sale I go to. Two in a row currently. And all of them have been right by my house. Today I found:

Worms 3D GC
$3 each.
Both of them are in mint cond. and are complete.

Picked up a few things today.

-Super Mario Galaxy 2 Wii for $25 CIB (the cheapest I've ever seen it).
-Star Wars Battlefront II Xbox for $4 (no manual Grrrr!)

*EDIT* Does anyone know why Battlefront II on the Xbox is a generally higher priced title? I can't imagine how it could possibly be rare or really even uncommon. It was a Platinum Hits title later on so this one baffles me.

-Original Gameboy for $3. The screen cover is missing and the speaker is dead but otherwise works fine. I will likely use it for a future mod project or just parts if necessary.
-A stack of old strategy guides for $4.
--The legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time (the only one I really wanted), SaGa Frontier, Alundra, Wild Arms, and a Prima PlayStation cheats book.

I imagine it is because its a Star Wars game and it is backward compatible with the 360. Other than that, I can't say why. I bought it during a Steam sale and didn't think it was anything more than mediocre.

2 more *sorta* scratched off the list for my SFC collection.

Kirby's Kira Kira Kids (aka, "Kirby's Sparkling Kids" or "Kirby's Super Star Stackers", originally released on GB as Kirby Star Stacker). This one is pricey due to rarity only, limited JP release, no US/PAL release. Fun puzzle game.

Deae Tonosama Appare Ichiban (cart only, will continue to hunt for it CIB). This game plays a lot like Kiki KaiKai meets Ninja Commando, a mostly vertically scrolling run n' gun slasher w/lots of odd powerups and weird characters.



Both off ebay, $120 total for the pair (different sellers).

Here is my haul for today. Spent $48. Did some more digging at my favorite resellers stall over at Chesapeake flea market and found some cool controllers/hardware and bumped into some other small deals on the side.

Frustrating day today. Pretty dry. Someone must have donated their entire SNES collection to the main thrift store I go to. Probably partially my fault (and people like me) for buying boxed Secret of Mana and FF III when they priced them high but now they apparently price according to eBay. They had The Legend of Zelda, Turtles in Time, Star Fox, Super Double Dragon and maybe 10 or so more good games all at $20-35 each. Ugh! It breaks my heart but I'm not paying that at a thrift store- they were all pristine too. I don't remember the last time I saw SNES labels that glossy. They even marked all there Playstations up to $25. We'll see how long they rot there.
I did walk away with a Hudson multi-tap for the SNES.
Later at a swap meet I picked up seven 2-XL 8 track tapes for $5 (if anyone is old enough to remember those). I had the robot as a kid, in fact it is one of the 1st toys I have any memory of...in hindsight, I had no other reason to buy them other than that. I don't have the robot anymore but I suppose it would be cool to find one cheap one day.
