Gun-totin' dude in Portland, Maine. I went to school with this guy, he was also my boss at one point. Go figure.

I'm going to make a guess and say you don't think he should be up in arms (lol) about the illegal detention?

Hahaha.

Ya know, I don't have a problem with carrying guns for self-defense, but this dude goes out his way to flaunt it. And his overall demeanor is generally quite awkward (to put it lightly), I can understand why he made so many folks uncomfortable.

I've known the guy for about 15 years, I'm friendly with him and he's generally pretty chill... but it seems like he certainly has a chip on his shoulder. He's one of those people that's always adored the military but "can't trust the police." Go figure.

The most hilarious thing is the fact that Maine is one of the safest areas in the United States. This dude was packin' heat down in The Old Port (the coastal area of Portland). What did he think would happen? A lobsterman would try to mug him?

That's what bothered me about it too. It wasn't just a "I know my rights and I'm not doing anything wrong so I'm going to politely stand up for them". It was more of a "strap on my gun and strut around to see whom I can fluster" followed by a "fuck you pigs I know my rights and you can't do shit about it motherfuckers!" :|
