Heh i always remember the random replays on disney xd(back when it was toon disney...man I miss toon disney...) and all those 90's superhero shows were 10x better than some of what's come on now. I would argue that Justice League and Young Justice were better shows than any 90s super hero cartoon (with maybe the only exception being Batman TAS, which was the birthplace of the DC animated universe)

I don't find the Teen Titans Go show that bad, but if what you wanted was a sequel to Teen Titans I'd understand why you see things that way.

Well TTG completely ruined the memory of TT to me...While young justice, is great it just reminds me a lot of the stuff that came out in the late 90's and early 00's from what I recall. But it seems most of those shows like Justice League, young justice, and even the batman/superman shows we had quite a few years back. I really liked the story based superhero shows. Plus from what i recall young justice was cancelled just before it really starting going good. It was a great show cancelled way before it's time just like every super hero show in the past 15 years of me watching them. It's starting to look like I will be over the next few years collecting the dvds for those shows(if they exist) just for the memory to live on for me ....

The DCAU is truly legendary. For some reason Marvel just can't put together a cartoon continuity of that caliber while DC on the other hand struggles with a movie continuity.

Teen Titan's go is... funny sometimes... but it reminds me of when The Real Ghostbusters degenerated into short squash and stretch Slimer cartoons.

One of my favorite Marvel attempts was probably Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (2010). The Avengers Assemble cartoon that followed it is a joke.

Yes that's so true . I can only follow DC storylines in animated shows/films, I can only follow the Marvel storylines in movie form (though 90s X-Men and Spiderman were really good, unlike everything else that followed), and I just CAN'T follow any of them in their original comic form

Eh i guess I've just been spoiled since the late 90's since every hero show(that i can recall) has been one that is truly story based and each episode semi connected to each other if you paid attention to most of the episodes that ttn threw me off when it came on since it wasn't what I expected, since heroes have always been story not comedy...just doesn't work for me

That one is pretty important imo. It was the longest running marvel show right?

Both Spider-Man and X-Men ran 5 seasons but X-Men had 76 episodes as opposed to Spider-Man's 65.

The only other ones that come close are Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes at 52 episodes (highly recommended) along with X-Men Evolution (YMMV) and Iron Man: Armored Adventures (Kind of shit).

I believe so, yeah. Way longer than I realized after looking it up. 76 episodes? Wow

The thing that amazes me about the X-Men cartoon is how dead-on they got most of the voices. Wolverine, Cyclops, Professor X, Beast, Rogue and Gambit were all perfect, IMO. I think they could've done better with Magneto and Bishop though. I always thought Magneto would sound more regal and pompous, and Bishop more badass.
