you need to remedy this. I'm fairly certain I'd call the SMS my favorite Sega console. It has an amazing library (remember, Brazil got ports of games for years after it was discontinued here). Plus, many games are just mind-blowingly impressive for their time. I'd easily say that Phantasy Star was the better (and more vast) 8-bit RPG out of the same period as Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior for instance.MrFrumble wrote: - I still don't have a Master System.

I don't think it's too unreasonable. Many of the Dreamcast's best games were eventually ported to the Ps2, Xbox, or Gamecube anyway.Breetai wrote: PS2>Xbox>GameCube>Dreamcast (yeah, I'm gonna get it now...!!!)
I'm curious as to why you'd rate the Xbox over the Gamecube though...

I'm thinking of playing a game on easy difficulty.

You're like my opposite or something. You've got the fourth and fifth generations exactly backwards of how I'd do it.Breetai wrote:Me too.

Panzar Dragoon Orta, Outrun2 and Coast2Coast, Fable, Morrowind, Ninja Gaiden, a Shenmue II we actually got in N.Amerca, KoToR I/II, Mercenaries (better on X-Box) and the GTA games (better on X-Box) all factor in. There are a good number of 2D fighting games on the X-Box, and I use my Capcom fighting pad for them which seems satisfactory, so that kind of helps with the great 2D fighters on the DC (still a bit better on DC, though). The PS2 fills the shooter void, so the DC isn't as important as it would have been otherwise (despite having great shooters). Also, I really am not a fan of the DC controller. Since I haven't gotten used to joysticks yet, ever pads, the controller really does factor in for me.AppleQueso wrote:I don't think it's too unreasonable. Maybe once I am more stable financially I'll start collecting joysticks for everything.
The Saturn is the worst for the 4th gen for you, and N64 is best? I'll never understand that sort of thinking. I can understand PS1 being tops. I guess I'm just REALLY not a big fan of the N64. I don't hate it... it's just... so overshadowed by the PS1 and Saturn for me. Perhaps I should say:BoringSupreez wrote: You're like my opposite or something. Re: Gaming Confession Booth
I'm with you on the N64 Breetai, one of my least favorite systems. Probably because my parents traded in all my SNES stuff to surprise me with the new Nintendo.
Re: Gaming Confession Booth
Don't get me wrong on the DC, though. I quite like it. It died too soon and as a result, does not have the library that the PS2, X-Box and GCN have. In fact, if it hadn't died, a lot of the games I like on the PS2, X-Box and GCN would have been only on the DC. It already has a stronger 2D fighter and shoot 'em up library than both the X-Box and GCN combined. If it didn't die, it very well could have been:
DC>PS2>X-Box>GCN
*I need to stop now. This is WAY off topic in a thread that is decent.

I thought we already had a thread for this, but I can't seem to find it now. A mod could probably excise this part out and make a new thread (or merge it with the old thread if it could be found).Breetai wrote:*I need to stop now. This is WAY off topic in a thread that is decent.
Here's my FWIW:
PS2 = Xbox > GCN > DC
PS1> Sat > N64 >>> 3DO >>>>>>>>>> Jaguar
SNES > MD (haven't played enough TG-16 to rule on that one, but even with all the shmuppy goodness I'll doubt it'll replace my SNES)
NES > MS > 7800
