Not every game has saves available on the card. It's similar to the save situation on the N64.
That's ok with me, as long as game companies don't purposely require one to save to a memory card, simply to boost memory card sales. I'm fine with it as long as the cart is legitimately full of game code.

Has anyone said if a memory card will be included? I gotta say I was impressed when Nintendo included a 4GB SD card with the 3DS.

There's a bundle that you can get a week early before the regular launch. It comes with a 3g model vita, a case, a memory card, and some other stuff.

I don't think there are any other bundles that have a memory card included... unless they've made an announcement I don't know about yet.

I might actually get one of these, but just for a portable PS1. The PSOne classics library looks to be up to snuff enough to warrant it.
They have escaped into the mansion where they thought it was safe, yet.

If you just want a portable PS1 you might as well invest in a PSP or PSPgo. It would be more budget-friendly and the memory cards are relatively inexpensive.

Following a night of performing live at the Video Game Awards on SpikeTV, famed DJ Deadmau5 apparently left a yet-to-be-released PS Vita sitting in a L.A. cab.

Sorry to break it to you, but the Vita doesn't support PS1 classics. Not yet, anyway.

why wouldn't you just get a PSP -- a much cheaper portable PS1.

I haven't decided if I will buy one yet. A big selling point for me would be the ability to hook it up to a TV and use a DS3 in some of the games. A bit like the PSPGo. I'm most interested in the new Wipeout title.

It's just one of those situations where I have to sit (or stand) with it for a half hour and decide if I like it.
