And don't think this is going to end this generation, either.

If you remove multiplatform titles then you need to remove them from the good games on 360/PS3. Lets look at PS3 for an example without multi platform games scored 85 for higher on metacritic (since I have no 360);

God of War Collection
Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time
Uncharted 2
Demon's Souls
Infamous
MLB 09:The Show
Killzone 2

PSN;
PixelJunk Shooter
Shatter

PS1;
Silent Hill
Syphon Filter
Metal Gear Solid
Spyro: Year of the Dragon

12 games. Not that much more exclusive quality entertainment now is it? Is that the best Sony can do?

What are you guys talking about? I only play video games that jumping cars that are leaking paint that have to cover all of the roads while collecting balloons and avoiding cats and the police.

No modern console has given me such a game. All of them are failures.
Systems: TI-99/4a, Commodore Vic-20, Atari 2600, NES, SMS, GB, Neo Geo MVS (Big Red 4-slot), Genesis, SNES, 3DO, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GBA, GCN, NDSi, Wii

Every time I click "Show New Posts" and see this in the top 10, I think exactly the same thing.

Erm, why? I removed the multiplatform titles because they are superior on other platforms...

Also, you chose to emphasise the PS3, which is just as bad as the Wii, however this year has been much better than previous years. It's still way behind the 360 though.

You can't just lump multi platform games on the wii together as inferior... you have to look at them on a case by case basis. And you would still have to remove multi platform games for Ps3 and 360 because they may be 'superior' on the other HD console.

Its very clear that you just don't like the offerings on wii (and clearly PS3 as well). There is nothing wrong with not liking the games on a platform, but just because you do not like its entertainment does not make the wii a failure at all. Thats like saying the movie Twilight is a failure because I don't like it and will never see it. But it isn't is it? It was a huge success.

The point I am trying to make is that lack of software that you enjoy does not equal failure. There are only 3 or 4 xbxo 360 games that I enjoy, and the rest of the others I think are garbage, but do I see xbox 360 as a failure? No I do not. It is a huge success. So are Wii and PS3.

The only time a console is a failure is if it literally makes a company no profit ever and is forced off the market.

Yeah, but you see, there's this thing about being a gamer - I don't care how well it sells, or how much money a game or system makes. I COULD NOT CARE LESS.

All I care about is what I get out of it. That's it.

The Saturn was a huge drain on Sega's money. That system made Sega go down worse than anything, and compared to the Sony PlayStation - there was no comparison. So, why do I have about twice as many Saturn games as I do PSX games? Because I DON'T GIVE A SHIT.

Yeah, Nintendo is making a ton of money with the Wii. Activision is making a killing with World of Warcraft and Guitar Hero 5. EA is printing money with Madden 2010. But ya know what? Jimmy crack corn, and I don't care. We don't work for these companies, and as such, we shouldn't care less how 'financially successful' they are, especially when financial success is often inversely proportional with creative output.
