Do not skip III. I don't care if the developer is different, it fits in perfectly with the rest of the series.
And you'll want to use maps for all the old Phantasy Star games. They ain't easy.

Maps shouldn't be hard to find at all.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I actually used ASCII maps for the first game, as the dungeons are grids.
Here are some great maps for part II:

Those are awesome noise! I never found those for some reason...
Also, the PSIII "shrine" has some excellent maps too.

I feel i should make a topic on this, but a Gaming Thought will do.
What is the deal with Kemco games, like literally they use the same game 3 times with 3 different titles!
This is the US release
The Real Ghostbusters
http://www.gamefaqs.com/gameboy/585874- ... ers/images
Europe release
Garfield Labyrinth
Japan release
Mickey Mouse IV: Mahou no Labyrinth
There is only 1 link on gamefaqs to all 3, it uses the The Real Ghostbusters page, i feel like ive been swindled! why did the game industry do this back in the day, did they think we would never find out?

Different license agreements for different regions. It's not like there's some grand conspiracy, the same thing happened with the Crazy Castle series.Hazerd wrote: There is only 1 link on gamefaqs to all 3, it uses the The Real Ghostbusters page, i feel like ive been swindled! why did the game industry do this back in the day, did they think we would never find out?

I had started Phantasy Star a few weeks ago, but it got put on hold. This will definitely help out when I start playing again this week.

Licensing. Don't forget Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectacular also by Kemco on the NES - in Japan it was known as just Donald Duck!Hazerd wrote:I feel i should make a topic on this, but a Gaming Thought will do.

(EDIT: Now that HG101 is finally back up, they stated that Kemco had a Disney license for Japan only -- would explain why games had to be changed from that to territories outside of Japan)

Gravity Guy for Android kept pestering me to use my reserve of slowdown powerups. I thought if I wasted the slowdowns, the game would stop insisting I use them. I am so naive.
