The people on here call out everyone who likes "fake" Italian food, and then talks positively about Chipotle or any of the fast food "Mexican" places... :?

:D Off Today. Just love waking up on a Monday and knowing I have nothing to do.

That's because crappy Mexican is way better than crappy Italian, IMO.

I have to say, being in San Antonio kind of spoiled me as far as Mexican food goes. And that probably wasn't even the best Mexican food.

It is more Tex-Mex really, but yeah SA has some great spots.

This is true. The shitty Mexican and Tex-Mex food I've heard people in the Northeast praise would make your toenails curl. Think chopped up tomatoes on a Dorito with cheez whiz passing as "good nachos" or a mound of green salad with a giant dollop of sour cream, unseasoned fried hamburger, and a tablespoon of store-brand mild salsa on Tostitdos counting as a "delicious Taco Salad." The worst are the "Mexican restaurants" that refuse to put anything spicy into their cooking but, if you ask special, will give you a bottle of Tabasco sauce on the side.

Horrid, putrid food.

But at least good Italian is always a quick drive away.

There's only one Chipotle in Maine. As I stated, I love the food - my only beef is with how damn loud and crowded the place is all the time. I can never sit down and enjoy a meal inside unless it's a random time like 3 PM. I've actually eaten burritos right on the lawn behind the restaurant before. Hopefully the new location won't be as bad (smaller city).

Wait, Chipotle got worse after McD sold it? It was bland as hell back then as is, nothing had any flavor and salt couldn't even help. I could never understand why co-workers liked it. Freebirds and Bullritos are so much better as far as chains go. I think I'm going to have hit Bullritos for lunch now.

Bone, FB and BR would make your head explode if you like C that much.

There are better Mexican restaurants around, but they are slow sit-down places. For to-go food Chipotle is hard to beat. In Maine, anyway.
