You ever get so hyped up that even though there are plenty of things you could be doing, you can't get yourself to stop and focus on anything? I get this way occasionally and end up constantly pacing around.
This is how I feel a huge percentage of the time.

I have so many interests, so many hobbies, so many things to do. It feels as if I never have time to do all the things I want, but whenever I reflect back it seems like I spent my time poorly.

I'm also a chronic pacer. I can't think straight while sitting.

This reminded of something I was telling my wife just yesterday...
My college roommate (freshman year) once approached me looking deadly serious. He asked if he could confide in me, I said yes. He then told me that he "doesn't think." Yeah. He claimed to have "no thoughts" unless he was actively forced to focus on something (school or whatnot) and that otherwise his mind was blank. Very strange guy. He dropped out of college, drifted for some time, and then joined the Army when he was almost thirty.
Wow dude, you sound just like me.

That's an interesting story about your roommate. First I've ever heard of such a thing.

If that really was the case for him, I don't envy him. My mind is all over the place, it'd be too damn quiet without any thoughts.

Even with years of meditation practice, I can only achieve 'no thoughts' for seconds at a time. It's hard for me to imagine life without a running monologue and/or internal debate.

In 1998 I bought a "Teach yourself C++" book. I wrote the first "Hello World" program, it didn't work. I copy and pasted the program code from the CD that came with the book, still failed. Never touched programming again...

My daughter has been eating an outright ridiculous amount of food. I think she consumes more calories than me. She doesn't even ask for permission anymore, just opens the pantry or fridge and raids it. She especially likes falafel, naan, and guacamole.

Get used to it. My wife made pancakes this weekend. I was hungry and ate four of them. Each of my children ate five or six. (We lost count.) I weigh 215 lbs. Their combined weight is approximately 70 lbs.

Mwhahaha.

It's quite hilarious actually.

I buy her 32-packs of juice boxes from Sam's Club. Those are gone in about a week.

She's stealing food from our plates now too. She ate about half of mom's pasta last night.

They are eating so much so they'll be prepared to form a chrysalis before their final metamorphosis.

Odd. Their home page isn't loading properly, nor is their search tool working. To find videos, I'm having to video search via Google.
