I saw Overkill with Testament and Flotsam & Jetsam earlier this year with Overkill easy being the best part. They played their classics and their new shit, but not anything from '92-'07 curiously. The moshpit was just perfect and the band uh... killed on stage. The trip to Atlanta was so worth it.

I don't think that's necessarily true at all. There are lots of crazy stereotypes about metal dudes too.

But for what it's worth, I married a woman who has never listened to metal in her life.

I'm just going off of what I personally have seen, and that has been the case. I do know one girl who listens to a couple of the bigger traditional bands and glam, but otherwise its metalcore or really fucked up shit. I specifically mentioned it due to a few girls I met today at the store while I was buying CD's. I was looking through the metal section, and they came up and talked real quick, asked me what I liked and all, and then told me what they liked and showed me some of the albums. Lets just say I wouldn't take those girls home to mom.

How many times are we going to go over this? I base everything on what I've seen, and most of it is probably wrong. Including this. But still, that's how I work. I get the idea that some girls feel as though they won't be respected within the community if they aren't hardcore enough, so they go overboard. Or something.
