You don't think that's overdoing it do you? Or is this more of an attention-seeking ritual? :-P

EDIT: However, I do sympathize with you. There is nothing more infuriating than having your tie rack give out and your ties strewn all about the floor. I just gave up and gave them a dresser drawer where I can fold them neatly.

I have 1 real tie and one clip on and frankly that's 2 too many for me. Ok I do have a 'noose tie' that was made years ago. I think the coolest once I've seen was one made out of either filmstrip or uncut 35 mm negatives.

Nah. I sometimes dress down at home, but dressing "business professional" while in public is something I've done for lots of years.

And yeah. I probably made a gasping sound when I saw the ties scattered about. "You take care of a tie, the tie will take care of you"-My Father (and maybe most Fathers).

I need to install some sort of "tie pole" in my master closet so I can hang them and not worry about this happening again.

What do you mean by "real tie"? Clip ons aren't exactly "fake ties". You also don't mention if it's a neck tie or a bow tie and why you even mention a noose tie makes no sense.

I'm in essay grading mode, so take it for what it is worth.

This should address your questions.

I own two ties - my funeral tie and my wedding tie.

I do not know how to tie them.

Frown: So damn cold.

Smile: When it rains, it pours. Seems like after getting laid off in September, there was nothing I could do to get any momentum into my professional life again. Now I feel spoiled for choice. I think 2014 is going to be a great year.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I have three normal ties, and two bow ties (well four if you count clip bowties). My old job required a tie and I got tired of tying them every day so I went with tuxedo bowties from an even older job.

Smile - Was given more venison summer sausage and jerky today.
Ticked - Missed my lunch window due to an issue and am stuck in meetings the rest of the day so I cannot make lunch at all. Well that and another company opened a branch in our building so now we have to walk a good distance for parking. The lot by our office holds 200 cars, we have 190ish employees in our office, they took the slot next to us and brought in another 100ish employees. So now if you are not here by 0700 you have to park a quarter to a full mile away.
