Oh, I thought you were being sarcastic. Oh well, either way my post makes sense. I'm too scared to try scamming them with a fake system, though.

It's not like I handle a lot DSs or anything. I pretty much just play my own. So no, I didn't realize that there was supposed to be all these Nintendo symbols on it until I had a buddy use it and told me it was weird because his did. I never ran into any compatibility issues or anything.Valkyrie-Favor wrote:Yeah, that's something tooJust thought it was strange you could play it for that long and never notice...or was it just sitting on the shelf? I know I admire by beautiful GBA SP all the time.

It might not be a bootleg DS. If the DS was damaged and refurbished the logos are not always on the replacement parts. Check other portables refurbished by gamestop and you will also notice a lack of logos, its worse on the orig. DSs. If the top screen was replaced more often then not the logos are gone.BurningDoom wrote:It's not like I handle a lot DSs or anything. I pretty much just play my own. Went into Gamestop today to pick up a copy of Tekken 6. They only had one copy at the bottom of the shelf and I take it to check-out. The guy fumbles around for about five minutes only to tell me they actually don't have any copies of Tekken 6.
Can't say I wasn't surprised though.

^ That's happened to me a couple of times too. Once, it happened twice in one visit during an older B2G1 sale. Their explanation is that sometimes they sell the game without the case since they sell some of those games disc only. I guess that's understandable.
I actually had a really cool experience at GS today. At checkout, I mentioned the copy of F-Zero GX they had just gotten in, and how I had bought a copy about a month ago, but hated that I got the Player's Choice edition. Before I could ask to swap 'em out, he offered to just give me the insert, saying that he'd just make a generic for it. Pretty rad, I thought.

If I know what I want, I always go straight to the counter. Plus the clerks usually know exactly where the boxes are for games.
Sorry about your wasted trip.

I also do not even both scanning the shelves. I just go straight to the counter and have them check the drawer or the computer.
Selling half my NES/SNES/PS1 collection (ending Dec 1):

Yeah, I would have gone up and asked if I hadn't already seen the case. Makes more sense though.
And it's alright, I've already procured a copy from someone off here.

I don't do that because I'm really shy and hate talking to people.
