Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Went to Savers today and picked up a Commodore 64 CIB for $25.00. Also came with the Blue Chip floppy drive power adapter but no drive unfortunately. This thing is pretty cool and it powers on but I have no games or video cable to test it. Also got a "nice pick up" compliment from another shopper who knew what it was lol. Super Vintage. Ill post a pic later today.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Nice find on the controllers! That Superpad 64 also came without the Auto Fire, so yours is especially nice. Never seen that Mad Catz driving unit and I thought the Hori Zero Tech was weird looking. Looks to be a PS2 controller since it has a black connector. Possibility of spinner games in yours, might work with PS1 Tempest X3? Interested in finding one too, Model name and number of that "RC" Controller?
@ fastbilly - Nice print!
I knew you would be interested in this controller lol. It is for certain a PS1 controller based on the manual description. The official name seems to be Madcatz Handheld Racing wheel, but there is very little information online it seems. I just remembered I have a disc only copy of gran turismo floating around somewhere, so I will try it out when I get home on that.

Good info, I always thought the grey plug was an indicator, seen even on a lot of earlier 3rd party PS1 controllers. Interested if any Spinner games might work. Maybe try it on some arcade compilations?jay_red wrote:I knew you would be interested in this controller lol. It is for certain a PS1 controller based on the manual description. Nice! Looking forward to the pics. Is that Savers a franchise? Maybe the drive is at another location?Onyxthecat wrote:Went to Savers today and picked up a Commodore 64 CIB for $25.00. PS2 Guitar Hero React Guitar - $3.00 BookOff
After my initial find of a Guitar Hero Set, decided to try out the first two for the PS2. This wired guitar has been sitting in BookOff teasing me for about a week. Nice solid unit, looks like it has low milage and included the box along with the instruction manual. This will hold me over until I find the wireless sensor for the other PS2 Guitar I got found for free. The wired hookup is not bad for enacting the part, real guitars have a cable going to the amp anyways.
PS2 Guitar Hero - $3.00 Swap Meet
The first on the PS2, the over marketed series that clogged up the shelves at the end of the PS2 life.
PS2 Guitar Hero 2 - $5.00 BookOff
Had to get volume two to complete volumes 3 and 4 that I previously picked up for the Wii. Its not a bad form of gameplay with the DDR style using fingers. The music, even the non Master Tracks are done very well.
Halo 2 MS Guide Book - $2.00 BookOff
This book is huge, a good read well worth the price.
XBox Mech Assault 2 Limited Edition - $5.00 BookOff
I can't afford the huge Steel Battalion Controller Set, but this is a nice Mech holdover. Includes extra levels and a G4 video behind the scenes review on the second Limited Edition disc.
PS1 Spin Jam - $3.00 Estate Seller
I only bought this game to get the same price on the game below. Actually well done, a sort of center marble launcher version of Bubble Puzzle.
PS1 Gundam The Battle Master NTSJ - $3.00 Estate Seller
The first of the Gundams on the PS1. There was no price sticker on this, but the rest of the PS1 games had $3.00 sticker on them. It was sitting on a separate shelf, but how to make sure I get the same price without the seller jacking it up due to the Japanese Tag on the back? Grabbed one of the tagged PS1 games to buy with it, the one above. I had no sympathy for this seller, an Estate Sales Storage Warehouse closing out on claimed properties.
Not as fast game play response as Street Fighter, but oh so cool controlling the huge mechs. The robots are sometimes twice as tall as the game screen.
I hate stickers on my games so usually I remove them after the photo shoot. I'm keeping this one though due to it showing the history of where the game has been.Hardcore Gaming wrote:http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/gundam/gundam3.htm
One thing that can't be stressed enough is how amazing this game looks. It's by far one of the best-looking 2D fighting games on the PS1. In most 2D fighters, the fighters are animated with unique frames for every motion. In Battle Assault, each mech is comprised of multiple body parts which animate independently from one another, similar to many of the bosses in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. This allows for some extremely smooth animation and circumvents the RAM problem that usually effects 2D fighters for the Playstation. All of the fighters are huge, much larger than the characters from your average fighter. Some of the bosses, like the Big Zam, don't even fit entirely on the screen. It's hard to control these, naturally, but it does look pretty cool.
For our Japanese readers, what does the sticker on the lower left state? I'm guessing a Japan Store Rental or Used Game Sticker due to the numbers not matching the Sony part number? I think it has a date on it of 12/01/10.

Pretty sweet. Maybe get a floppy drive eventually, but there are cartridge games for the system too.Onyxthecat wrote:Went to Savers today and picked up a Commodore 64 CIB for $25.00.
