Psh, it's not like Thanksgiving is a sacred holiday or something. Only been around since the 1860s.

It doesn't matter, it is still a holiday based on family and coming together. Hell, if football is more important than that you need to fix some problems in your family.

not everyone likes their family or getting together for the sake of keeping up appearances or keeping grandma happy just because it's "for the holidays".

I find sports different from other hobbies because I see so much more emphasis put on it, and so many people will blatantly deny family gatherings or avoid other important things for football. I don't understand it.
