- Been spending a good bit of time with my brother over the last 2 months. He's been coming over once or even twice a week to hang out and do stuff, mostly playing games. I also get to see my nephew on a more regular basis as well.
Last night we played a good mix of things: Ibara, Return of Double Dragon, Super Mario Kart, Sengoku Basara, and GT4. I'm glad to have someone to play beat 'em ups and such with me.
Turns out mom WASN'T able to pay off the money on the storage unit, so now I don't know how much longer until we can, but I hope it's soon because the longer it takes, the more we'll end up owing until they say "fuck it" and just seize our stuff (including all my books, video games, movies, and all the shit I was gonna sell to help me move to NYC).
I found a custodial shift at Animal Kingdom. It's a 9 1/2 hour shift, but it's money.
Ticked - found out that my counterparts are either sick, have already left, or got in a car wreck and are not in the office today. And since it is our month end, I get to pull the late shift again. That is four months in a row. I cant get too mad, since it overtime, but Thursday is my gaming night.
: Fixed my PSP. Was a little worried for a while there, because the replacement stick didnt work, until I noticed some sort of contact gum stuff on the contacts of the old PSP stick. So I pulled it off that and stuck it to the contacts of the new one and it works fine.
Glad too, because I've picked up quite a few PSP games recently - Power Stone Collection, Valkyria Chronicles II, Parappa the Rapper and Castlevania. I'm considering picking up Trails in the Sky and Gungnir if the price is right too.
My four-year old put the tweezers in the bathroom outlet.
Here is the long story: My wife stays at home watching our three kids and another toddler, my middle kid locks himself in the bathroom and is goofing off. The power goes out, my wife doesn't connect the two and opens the bathroom door to free the child then turns the breaker back on. The tweezers that knocked out the power were still in the outlet. While my wife went to the basement to turn the breaker back on, my oldest son (5) was about to pull the tweezers out when the power came on and the tweezers started shooting out sparks. All of the kids start screaming and my wife turns off the breaker again (the circuit didn't trip the second time because of the tweezers arcing and somewhat completing the circuit- according to the school's custodian who is also an electrician).
My son says he didn't get hurt and nothing was "tingling" so other than having to replace the outlet, no harm was done. Both boys ere so scared, neither one would turn on a light or walk close to anything electrical all day, that they have now learned to fear/respect electricity.
The worse part was that I was at work and felt helpless. We kept the breaker off until I got home and replaced the outlet with one of those new "tamper resistant" ones. Go figure because of where it was located (out of reach unless a kid climbs on the counter) this is one of only 3 outlets without those plastic kid protector things.
