Therefore I try to be more careful with good form in that regard as to not drive away potential buyers.
I don't understand - how would you even know you turned away a potential buyer? If "bad form" (whatever that is to you) turned away a buyer, you wouldn't know about it anyways - that whole idea is speculative.

It also invites excess haggling. 'Cmon you only paid $5 for it, you are still making a profit at $20 instead of $30' etc..
Has this actually happened to you? I've never seen it in my experiences.
What is and what isn't good form as we can see is debatable. What isn't debatable is that we can't determine a "good find" unless a price is known or at least an interesting story. Posting a find without a compelling story and/or price is pointless. Again - put it in your gameroom.
To the 1st, we have people in here posting that exact sentiment, so yes it could potentially turn off a buyer. While it wouldn't matter to some like you it does to others.
For the 2nd, yes I have experienced this.
I have not posted several good finds because I knew I was just going to flip it. Most of the finds I do post, I keep a good chunk.
It personally doesn't matter much to me, I can see both sides, but I am a laid back type of guy. While we should get some profit to cover our time and effort there seems to be a grey area of ethics involved. So out of respect for those who are more sensitive to the issue that's how I try to operate.
I wouldve disclosed how much we paid on our mega lot since I kept a decent chunk. However, Hobie was very much opposed to sharing.
