Whoa, Liam Neeson is hilarious. He can even make AIDs funny.MrPopo wrote:I went and saw The Equalizer. It was basically Man on Fire 2: Now With A Happier Ending. Which isn't a bad thing; I loved Man on Fire. I think I'd be afraid to be in a room alone with Denzel Washington, though. And Liam Neeson at this point as well.
What was the last movie you've seen?

That he can. I'm just afraid that if I accidentally offend him that he'll find a creative way to kill me using objects in the room.Ack wrote:Whoa, Liam Neeson is hilarious. Last night, I watched Prom Night (1980). It was exceptionally boring, and I do not recommend it to anyone. (Seriously, the best part of the movie was Jamie Lee Curtis disco dancing.)

I actually just watched the latest in the "Liam Neeson Menacingly Speaks To Someone On A Phone" movie series, A Walk Among the Tombstones. It's good actually. Very straightforward action/thriller, where everything happens pretty much exactly as you'd expect. Liam Neeson's get up in the beginning of the film is hilarious and worth it just for that.MrPopo wrote:That he can. When DID Liam Neeson become an action star anyway? Not that I'm complaining, I just remember him in Schindler's List.

Mmmm... I don't think that was quite the point. Maybe a herald of things to come. Sure, he had more action than Alec Guinness did, but the whole movie was more amped up in that regard.

Actually, Liam Neeson had been in action films before that, like a bit part in Delta Force, Next of Kin, Darkman, The Big Man, Rob Roy, and so on. But his current round seems to have started with Kingdom of Heaven, Batman Begins, and then Seraphim Falls.MrPopo wrote:Mmmm... I don't think that was quite the point. Liam Neeson and Denzel Washington together? On like... a hydrogen powered deflating blimp operated by North Korean Cannibals that have kidnapped their daughters?
