All of the games are in great shape, and there are several semi-rare titles (Strategy X, Submarine Commander), some Sears picture labels (Maze, Ouiter Space, Space Combat), and some popular titles (Adventure, Dig Dug, Galaxian, Golf, etc.)
I will be keeping about 1/2 of the lot and selling the rest to offset the cost. Since I acquired the entire lot for a little under the total market price of the titles I am keeping, however, getting even $1 for all of the remaining games will mean that I got a good deal.
Nice Finds! I'm starting to catch up on 2600 titles as well. Midnight Magic has an undocumented mode that even is on the picture of the label.
Six Atari 2600 Game Carts -$25.00Bought all these from the Swap Meet on the same day. One table was selling three for ten bucks and another stall has a huge plastic storage bin with games at five bucks each. I literally had to pile the carts on the ground as I was digging thru that box. I think I came out with some good ones including three games that I have played in the past. Mash I owned ages ago on the 2600, Midnight Magic and Turmoil I have on the Commodore 8 bit computers.
2600 Eggo Mania - Atari Age Rarity 4Bought mainly due to the beveled case, stands out compared to regular 2600 carts. Uses game paddles and plays similar to Kaboom. Catch eggs dropped by chicken. I hate it when I miss, having to wait while the chicken does the laugh at you dance. At least in later levels I can shoot the eggs back at that damn bird. Now how many would love to do this to the dog on NES Duck Hunt?
2600 M*A*S*H - Atari Age Rarity 3Fly helicopters to pick up wounded soldiers while flying around trees and dodging the jeep missile launcher. Bonus rounds of removing fragments from a wounded soldier similar to the Operation Board game.
2600 Midnight Magic - Atari Age Rarity 3The BEST 2600 Pinball game! Really, the physics of the ball to the tee just like a real table. Though the graphics are limited on the 2600, this is done well. Four flippers, includes bumpers and even a spinner in the center with a nice affect when the ball runs thru it. Note the label shows a picture of a set of vintage PC game paddles using each button as a Flipper control. I tried this out, but could not launch the ball. The game works with a joystick, but with a Y cable, I found a very nice way to play.

GAME PADDLE + JOYSTICK + Y CABLE
Game Paddle Buttons - Left and Right Flippers
Joystick Down - Pull back ball plunger
Joystick Button - Launch ball
Joystick Up - All Flippers
Joystick Left - Left Flippers
Joystick Right - Right Flippers

The Joystick is not as intuitive for controlling the Flippers. Pressing the separate buttons of the game paddles offers a more real control in smacking the Flippers. This brings another point,
the Paddle Buttons can work for left and right control of Atari 2600 Joystick driving games! Nice to discover something new on a decades old system!
2600 Pressure Cooker - Atari Age Rarity 4Came out way before Cooking Mama. In a twist of the arcade Burger Time, collect the ingredients to make hamburgers on a conveyer belt.
2600 Solaris Atari Age Rarity 2I love
Star Raiders on the 5200, this is a good rendition for the 2600. A little disappointed that it is a behind the ship view instead of looking from inside. Second Joystick allows better control in looking thru the galaxy chart.
2600 Turmoil Atari Age Rarity 3Oh yeah, memories of the Vic20 version are back! Love the title screen, the rolling colors famous in older systems.

A lot of posts describe this game as sideways Tempest, but it is more! Once in a while a bonus appears requiring going down the track and grabbing before it shoots or the enemy ship gets you from the opposite side. Really a superb game that needs either a very responsive Joystick or Gamepad. Toss the original 2600 Joystick aside, use either a Genesais Pad or the EPYX Joystick that has solid switches inside.
The perfect Turmoil control. Same Joystick I use on the Vic20, works great in the 2600.

Okay some of these are far from mint but at least the whole labels though sun damaged are intact. After all, these games are over 30 years old! Touched up the labels with colored felt markers. Turmoil and Mash came out really well, couldn't quite color match Midnight Magic. Ah well, better then the plain white tear showing.
