What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Whoa.

Stuff and sorts from the unmade 1983 version of WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT

Really neat.

Started playing this (the standalone version).. Started out interesting enough, but then it got a bit too-shooty for my tastes. The Source engine isn't really great for constant action. Maybe later on there would be some story elements and interesting tidbits, but for now I'm shelving this one.

I've not played any HL1 mods before. Are there any decent ones that stood the test of time?

Heisei Rider vs. Shōwa Rider: Kamen Rider Taisen feat. Super Sentai

The TV-Nihon fansub was released today.

The story, which takes place after Ressha Sentai ToQger vs. Kamen Rider Gaim: Spring Break Combined Special, finds the Kamen Riders from the Showa Era (Kamen Rider 1 to Kamen Rider J) to the Heisei Era (the earliest being 2000's Kamen Rider Kuuga) locked in battle orchestrated by the Underground Badan Empire, a major Big Bad from the Showa Era which apparently the successor of all the previous villainous groups like Shocker. Their goal involves a machine powered by the strange abilities of a young boy and an evil Rider named Kamen Rider 15 and his ability to harness the powers (via a similar Driver as the Gaim Riders) of all the Heisei Riders.

Also features Kyouryu Red (aka Daigo Kiryu) from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, as well as the ToQgers and General Schwarz of The Shadow Line (Ressha Sentai ToQger's Big Bad).

Liked it, though it's not exactly perfect.

There's a bit of a learning curve when talking Super Sentai and Kamen Riders.
I've been watching some recently, and I quite liked it, so I went and researched them a bit.
It's pretty interesting when you get into it.

For Super Sentai, as of Gokaiger, there's a fairly helpful (and catchy) song to familiarize people with the various teams (up to that point) And that entire series is pretty much about exposure.

I've noticed the most confusing thing is how the specials and movies are titled. You catch on fairly quickly, but it's still like "huh?"

Plus I've been into tokusatsu (the Japanese word for special effects, though outside Japan it's used to describe any special-effects-laden film or television program such as Godzilla or Super Sentai; though in Japan the show also refers to Western counterparts like Doctor Who and Smallville) for a good long while now, and even I have some gaps in my general info.

Also, Ressha Sentai ToQger and Kamen Rider Gaim are programs that I've gotten into much more than any other. Usually I try with other shows but I can honestly say that I'm caught up with these two, and eagerly await the remaining episodes of Gaim (I think there's three left) and ToQger (which should end in December).
