Well, I've got mine (MD version). I still have my original Genesis (1992) and Sega CD (model 2 1993) along with a Game Genie that I haven't sold yet, so I do have hardware to play it on.

I'm planning on getting a JP MD/MCD combo later on anyway.

I know I'm even close to the first to get my copy (eeerrrr... my wife's copy), but here is what I got in the mail today. It's from the original run, and it's a very impressive set as others here have said! The MD cart (which is actually a Genesis cart with a tab out of the left side to fit in the Mega Drive), the Mega CD/Sega CD disc, two adverts for a "Super Thunder Drive III" 32X game (whoa, looks like a sweet scaler racer!), very nicely done box (too bad it wasn't a plastic shell) with a manual attached to the front page (which my wife ALREADY slightly bent when looking for her name in the credits  ), stickers, a multilingual book (good job on the Japanese Mr. DeVinny), and a certificate of authenticity (416/800). Definitely a well done package! Kind of reminiscent of Working Designs quality.

Does anyone know much about Super Thunder Drive III?

I think the general consensus was that it was a gag.

Too bad. I like Outrun-type racers. I'd have probably bought it. :D

It shouldn't take that long. I think I just provided my current address in January, so maybe it was two months. It depends on immigration and how it ships (boat or plane).

They say a batch is going out every 45 days, so I have to wait a while. I ordered on Feb 27 :?

Yeah, it'll be a bit of wait then. But it will be worth it!

Everyone thought I was crazy when I pre-ordered this game over 2 years in advance. They thought the project would be cancelled, and thought I was particularly insane for getting the special edition. Who's laughing now?
