Yeah... Except the part where Rot will just randomly ban anyone whose face he doesn't like that day.Kidpanda wrote:As long as you stay out of the War Room it's not that bad. Instead of locking down threads and banning people, threads gone awry end up in the War Room. Actually a pretty fresh place to chill.the7k wrote:There's a place I go to when I want a little bit of the wild west of old internet without resorting to the cancer that is 4chan.
The War Room. El Hyphen. Come on down to Neo Geo Land.
Don't get me wrong. I like the site. But holy fuck, you want to talk about terrible moderation...
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

Just ignore Luke. He still don't understand things like "context" or "tone".

I don't know if Luke is still planning to leave, but either way I wanna tell him this before he's gone:
I wear nothing but t-shirts.

Over the past few months I've sold it all -- the systems, games, collectibles, posters, books, miscellaneous paraphernalia -- and have dedicated more time to other things with all of the money earned. (Hot diggity ... there's always another collector/enthusiast/someone with too much disposable income willing to take this stuff off your hands.) The interest just isn't there any more. It's not so much making a conscious decision to leave the forum as it is drifting away because life moved in a different direction. I don't sit on a computer much any more, let alone have the time to read and post on forums.
I love games, and will always love games...but I didn't want the rest of life outside of games to pass me by any more. I will always be grateful for the worlds I've been able to visit, the characters I've met along the way and the friends I gained in the process...but we've only got so long in *this* world, and there's just so much more I want to do and experience in it with the people I love.
It's never goodbye -- I like "see you later"...because you just never know.

Life passes most people by while they're making grand plans for it.
