Sorry to change the subject away from the fun but really weird rub rabbits series but does anyone have a good way to store/display cart only GBA games that still allows them to be easily accessed? Right now I have some in DS cases and the rest in a plastic box about the size of a shoe box. This isn't quite working for me and I'd prefer a better solution.

I've been working on beefing up my GBA collection and in the past week I've acquired 5 games for $11 total. All are cart only in very nice condition. What I got was Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Densetsu no Stafy (Legendary Starfy) 1 and 2, and Custom Robo GX. The last three being Japan exclusives but fairly playable without knowing a lick of that language.

I've seen folks use binders with those pages made for collectible cards as storage for that kinda thing.

Golf ball display case is the best way to display.

Not a problem, this is what the thread is all about. I never seriously thought of a GBA storage solution before. My collection is mostly loose carts and I just keep them in a rather inelegant plastic bag. I like the plastic card sleeve idea myself. There also exists GBA-sized plastic snap cases that fit cartridges. I happen to have one when I got A Link To The Past.

I just realized Feel The Magic was a DS launch title. What better way to show off a very creative use of the touchpad.

Well if you want to case them up and put them on a shelve there's the customgamecases.com option. They work pretty good though you may want to order a few extras over what you need only because I've heard of a few cracking in transit somehow even though they are usually decent quality

That golf ball display case idea seems very interesting, though fairly pricy and I'll look into some of the other suggestions as well. Thank you for the suggestions.

So it turns out the Fire Emblem was a fake which I didn't notice until I got home. I ended up returning it and they gave me a $10 bonus credit for the trouble plus the original price obviously. Bad part is I once again don't have Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones. I never should have sold off my CIB copy. Though paying the rent and not getting evicted was more important at the time.

I found it odd that Nintendo included the second Fire Emblem game to the Ambassador program over the first. I would think having the first GBA games would make a bit more sense.

They're unrelated to each other though. It's kinda like saying one Final Fantasy would be a weird pick over another.

Cynics might point out that they gave the one which is both cheaper on the after market and not as good in general so they could sell the rarer better one on VC later.#

It's also the far easier and more accessible one, which would be a good way to get people into the series though.

I haven't played either one to be honest so in terms of accessibility and story I dont really know. Price wise I've got no clue either. I remeber The Minish Cap being in price awhile back for example. I'm kind of a Fire Emblem novice all around.

I always liked playing and buying games in the order of release. I try at least to stick to it. Some would call that a quirk.

There's a good reason why that Fire Emblem made ambassador -- ease of emulation.

Ever notice the GBA games don't have the usual VC flair, complete minimalist. They do nothing but work and and save like a legit cart, no controller play, no hot saving/loading, nothing. They quickly picked 10 key top 1st party games that they could get up and running fast with no work or very little. While they all (gba forward) use the ARM CPUs they're not the same and things would need changes to emulate the calls to the processor the newer machine don't know. I think it's also why you got Yoshi's Island over the other Mario games, the first more crude F-Zero over GP Legend, and so on.
