Re: Hearthstone thread

Just played a warrior who had a deck entirely made of taunting minions. He himself kept using the little taunt emote on me the entire time as he whittled my health down to below 10. I play it smart, pick my fights right to get the most damage out and take down his defenses quickly. He runs out of cards, I have tons of high level minions and beat him. Never felt more fulfilled in my life.

Yep, this game has all kinds of momentum swings - had a couple tonight where I was doing long setups, just trying to bide my time, was down 30 to 2 in a match, was able to clear the field and beat him 2-0. My boy and I were just ear to ear smiling and high-fiving.

Put in 2-3 hours a day the last 4 days. Addicted. Seriously - more gaming in a long weekend than I normally do in a month. Kids love it too.

We got 300 gold for "Chicken Dinner" tonight - we keep going to the arena, but I think we'll save up for one of the "pay" quests now so we can unlock Grim Patron.

We keep running into a few (for us) unbeatable playstyles.

Warsong Commander w/Grim Patron (damage self w/shiv, fireball, etc).

There are others of course - we just don't have the cards to compete or counter some of these yet, but, getting there.

I've been told to not make the leap to level 15 or prepare to either get dominated or start spending real money.

Ugh, was on a roll tonight w/Warlock - about to get 5 in a row, ran into this guy in a match I was dominating. Didn't have anything to take him out - he cleared our two of my watchers and a lord of the arena. Ugh and Ugh and Ugh:

Hey what's going on in this thread?

I've been off and on the internet for a bit. Just got done moving. Virtually the only gaming I've been doing is Hearthstone, and looks like this thread just got set up around a month ago.

I sent a bunch of friend requests. I've been playing since April of last year, took a break, came back to some of the wings of Naxx, came back with Blackrock.

I've got a really good deck I've been running Mage with, and another as a Druid. Would love to play with you all sometime this evening. I liked the earlier recommendation in the thread of a single/double elimination tournament, would you all be up for something like that?

Hey Blu! Welcome aboard our rag tag ship!

I just recently started, thanks to Noise's recommendation and have almost got all the classes up to level 10. I've just been working hard on getting cards and doing quests so that I am build some better decks. I've mostly just stuck to the standard premade decks, thanks to a lack of overall cards for now.

My Warlock is mean, blu. I'll be on tonight around 9p EST.

I still need to unlock a few cards to compete w/higher ranked players - i'm missing a lot of Jaina's cards that are necessary to play her effectively.

I finally broke down and "bought" a pack w/gold instead of using that money in the Arena...my rare card was:
Jeeves

Seriously.

Gross.

Hahaha, funny that you mention it Mike. I use Jeeves in my Mage deck. I won't give you any other spoilers because I don't want you forming any strategies before we play! But I think he's a great card if you have the right deck build.

I'll be back home around 9:00ish, so count me in. I sent you a friend invite.

So I just finished getting all the classes to level 10. The real question is, should I be spending my gold on packs of cards, or on the arena?
