I actually, strangely, decided to start playing Spyro a little while ago so I guess I am rolling with the challenge now. So far the game is much better than I thought it would be (I am playing it on Vita) and while it is very easy, it is also very charming. Mapping L2 and R2 to the right analogue stick basically renders any complaints about the camera that I probably would have had as moot. Looking forward to spending time in this one :D

I've never played a Spyro game myself. I have part 2 on PlayStation and some GBA game. Probably get to them eventually!

Heh I need to get around to finishing it on my vita(only version I own is the psp version as of yet and I really want the original). I have Season of Ice as well and too be quite honest I don't understand the hate for the gba games...

Since they are built into the game, I don't think that using warp zones in SMB or the save features in SM All Stars or SM Deluxe is "cheating". Those features make the game much more accessible to new players, and they allow new players to learn and appreciate the game. (Arguably, the presence of hidden warp zones is part of what made SMB such a revolutionary game.)

Spyro is the shit. I'm glad I picked up the trilogy in that sale a week or so ago - all three Spyro games for $3? Smart buy!

Yeah, "cheating" to me is using codes or external devices (Game Genie, Action Replay). That said, I don't use the warp zones in any Mario game, as I like to explore as many levels as possible.

I haven't begun to play any summer games yet - maybe once I finish FFII...

I'm just enjoying Ds' conversion to the Spyro fanwagon. Those first three games are a blast!

I used to rent the Spyro games for the original Playstation on occasion, and always enjoyed playing them. Seems like they would probably play a bit clunky, yet still enjoyable, these days. I always liked the Spyro games more than the Crash games, anyway. (For the PS1, at least.) I'd even go a step further to say I prefer Insomniac (and Sucker Punch) studios to Naughty Dog.

That was a good buy, though. I agree. A buck a game is where I like my digital game prices.

Well restarted my smb play through for this...officially on 2-1 with no warps or anything. I always could beat the first world or two no problem it was everything after that, that bugged me
