I remember renting Buster Busts Loose back in the day. I remember playing it with my brother, and painstakingly getting to the third or fourth level. More recently (a few years ago) I finally got a copy for myself. I played through it in something like 15-30 minutes. I was shocked to see how easy it was, and that it's only four levels long. Still, a fun game.
Skyblazer, eh? What kind of game is it?
edit: LOL, what do you know. I just Googled "Skyblazer" and the Wikipedia link was purple (I already visited that page). I guess I looked it up already but forgot about it.

Back to my Nintendo Power tangent, I discovered that one issue has a Bubsy poster!
NP hyped the hell out of a lot of licensed garbage and just straight-up shitty games.

Just an AWESOME action-platformer! I heartily recommend.Ziggy587 wrote:I remember renting Buster Busts Loose back in the day. - I'm the only person here knocking Taz-Mania!ExedExes wrote:- Taz-Mania was fun, quit hatin'
- Tiny Toons on the SNES rocks
- Skyblazer is a hidden SNES gem
- Top Gear on the SNES had good passwords (actual words!)
- and yes, I rented Bubsy too. Couldn't get past Level 9, but tried many times!
- I still prefer the NES Tiny Toons game, but I haven't played much of the SNES version.
- Yes, yes it is.
- ...awesome!
- I've never rented a Bubsy game...but I do own one.

I was bitching in that thread about getting it for $10+, now the lowest BIN on eBay is $25 plus shipping.
edit: Well, I did it. I got a copy of Skyblazer for $23.99 shipped. And while I was at it, I got myself a MAD-1 copy of Sim City finally. Not the greatest hits version that was made in Mexico. Yes, I'm very particular about my Sim City cart.
Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
MAD-1? Was that the earlier revision you or someone mentioned here? I'm guessing that's the one I have.Ziggy587 wrote:And while I was at it, I got myself a MAD-1 copy of Sim City finally. Not the greatest hits version that was made in Mexico. Yes, I'm very particular about my Sim City cart.
B-b-b-b-but some two-bit publisher wanted their character to be the next SONIC!BoneSnapDeez wrote:Back to my Nintendo Power tangent, I discovered that one issue has a Bubsy poster!

I think by this point it's not a fad anymore, it's the new normal.ZeroAX wrote:Wow. Skyblazer seems REALLY good.....but damn those skyrocketing SNES prices. When will the fad end?

Damn you AVGN and all other youtube reviewers promoting the shit out of the SNES's library.BoringSupreez wrote: I think by this point it's not a fad anymore, it's the new normal.
I'll just stick to collecting Mega Drive games then

Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
I guess I am...I even tried Bubsy and found it hard. Its just so irritating to play for 2 hours then lose your last life and have to start all over again.AppleQueso wrote:You know I just think you're flat out bad at platformers.RCBH928 wrote:@ZeroAX
Maybe I am starting to realize this. I am very surprised that some people would even argue that 2D platformers are ok. I think I can't even beat Cool Spot. Sonic is more believable but stuff like Ghosts and Goblins , EarthWorm Jim, Batman and Robin, Castlevania, MegaMan, Contra...I have a hard time believing any one beat those games unless like he played a single game for like 3 hours daily for 6 months straight and he has all the patience in the world.
