Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Re: Snickerd00dle's Summer Game Challenge 2011
Played a bunch more FFXII tonight. I'm around 7 and a half hours in now. Seems like I've acquired most of the party members. Its kind of stupid that you can only have 3 active members at a time. Anyways story and characters (except for the main charater) are still good, but the battle/level systems still havnt grown on me.

Oh, wow, you haven't even gotten to the second seal yet, have you? As you get to the rest of the seals, the game's pace does indeed speed up, and by the last seal, things really start to get interesting.Flake wrote:I just left Palmacosta for the first time and I am looking for my imposters. Anyway, I was playing some more of the fan-translated Phantasy Star, and was about to get a roadpass so I could travel to a new planet to the first time, when I heard the funniest thing I had heard all day from the shopkeeper who sells you it:
"You just don't give up, do you? Here. One road pass, signed and certified. If anyone asks you about two dead couriers, deny everything." - Random Shopkeeper, Phantasy Star
Classic.

hmm I've died on this fight 4 times now. I know the strategy... but I just can't seem to keep it up long enough.noiseredux wrote:I'm 5.5 hrs into CT now. BTW, when can you say you've beaten Ridge Racer?
Re: Snickerd00dle's Summer Game Challenge 2011
That's weird. Do you have a healer in your party? I am just now running into some more challenging fights at around the 15 hour mark, and even then deaths of a single party member (let alone the whole lot) are quite minimal. Are you using tech or attack as appropriate to the situation? Certain enemies are weak against certain elements, for example...noiseredux wrote:hmm I've died on this fight 4 times now. I am trying to figure out what pick-up-and-play game to go after while I keep working on Chrono Trigger. Is anyone else planning on playing one of these and would like to join in?

Re: Snickerd00dle's Summer Game Challenge 2011
I have Crono, Merle & Robo. I'm doing this (basically):
Crono: Attack (as lighting isn't working on him)
Merle: Ice (very effective)
Robo: healing as needed, or tech-attack.
the problem is that when he does that big attack, he's taking 100+ HP from each party member. Crono's max is 247, Robo about the same and Merle is just 200ish. So it's substantial wipeout. I then have to hurry and try to heal enough that he doesn't just kill us next time he does that big attack.
