I, too, live in a town with an extremely large population of deer. I remember once as a kid, coming out the house on a Saturday morning to pick up the paper, and finding that less than six feet away from me stood more than a dozen bucks... just starring back at me. It was one of the weirdest things, definitely one of those events that sticks with you.
