You mean easy/difficult to install? The Dosbox wiki has pretty clear instructions. Also, IIRC there are no force powers in the game.fastbilly1 wrote: And Darkforces will be an interesting one. There is a PSX port, but the PC version is either easy on steam or difficult through Dosbox. Itll be fun to figure out.
If there were a way to network it over TCP/IP I'd be all for it. I just don't think we can do the game justice without an actual network of STs or GBs.And yeah, I would rather have people playing Midimaze/Faceball, but no big deal.

maybe it would've encouraged such a thing. Like local Racket meetups for Faceball. But whatever. Go to the darkside if you all must.Hatta wrote:

Difficult to install. The wiki instructions work, aslong as you dont download the game. Every version I have downloaded doesnt seem to work with those instructions. I figure itll go on sale on steam for Christmas, so Ill just pick it up then. Last year it was $1.50 and I didnt pick it up...Hatta wrote:You mean easy/difficult to install? I'm really psyched that Riveria got picked up for January. I just picked it up for a song not long ago - I haven't played it in YEARS.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Speak now or forever hold your peace. Calender is still open for discussion until the end of the week. Then the topic will be locked or, more likely, just ignored.

Re: 2011 Together Retro calender
Since I'm coming into this late and nearly everyone is in agreement already, I'll just to throw out other possibilities of multiplatform stuff that hasn't already been suggested so they can be ignored.
RPG
Bard's Tale (not the recent reboot) - Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Apple II, Apple IIgs, Atari ST, Commodore 64, DOS, Macintosh, NES, PC-98, ZX Spectrum
Dragon Wars - Amiga, Apple II, Apple IIgs, Commodore 64, DOS, NES, PC-98
FPS/3PS
Slave Zero - PC, DC
Forsaken - PC, N64, PS1
Admittedly even if I made room and hooked my C64 back up to play Bard's Tale I doubt I'd have much time to make a lot of progress. I have also played through my PC copies of Slave Zero and Dragon Wars multiple times already. Never have played Forsaken though, it was brought up in another thread today.

I am very wary to put any 6dof games up for TR since they are notorious for making people motion sick.
