I'm pissed off that once again the refereeing seems to be playing a big role in the outcome of this one. I don't remember these kinds of problems in years past - has the sport suffered an influx of idiot refs in the past few years? It makes watching it an exercise in frustration...

It's a huge issue, even if it were just the US matches. During the world cup you get people watching that are not fans of the sport. It's a chance to convert a few over. When Americans see perfectly good goals disallowed it does not make a good showing of the sport.

I'm so happy for you guys. This game was much, much better than the shameful amateur spectacle that was again England's game. And the US actually deserved to go on, unlike England.

Wow, what an amazing finish. I thought nothing would top that US-Slovenia game, but this was just insane! To win the group in the last few minutes for the first time in over 75 years is just remarkable. I hope the thrills continue into the next round!
