Thanks man.

Our previous vet moved to Wisconsin, and she used to say "unless it turns colors or grows rapidly, it's fine". Our new vet, well, it was his first day on the job. Ripley hasn't changed her behavior, and seems fine, but I'm not a vet.

I just have to wonder, why surgery now? Why weren't the tumors removed last time Ripley was knocked out to remove a skin tag?

As long as she's not in pain.

This sucks so bad.

And one of the coolest poly's ever born. He doesn't just have fat sixtoed paws... the boy has THUMBS. And he can use them sometimes. It's fascinating. I keep wanting to drown him because he's my little abomination of nature. I love that cat so much.

I would suggest doing some research on the issue and maybe bringing her to another vet or two for some more opinions. I hate dealing with vets but unfortunately it's something you have to deal with here and there.

Oh, you betcha.

As with my internest, I also grill the vet.

We have PhD students going nuts, Astronauts flipping their wig, potential Presidents sleeping with who knows what.

When the vet is in the room with my dog, he's on my dollar, he works for me. I have apage full of questions, and if he can't answer every one of them I'm getting a second opinion. There are so many unnecessary surgeries performed and medicines prescribed every day.

I trust most doctors, but you do have to remember where they make their money, and it's not in "You're healthy. Come back and see my in four years or unless you have a concern". You also don't hear a lot of psychologists saying "You're done here".

This is hershey he was abused and given away 3 times before i got him. Foxhound and i risk eviction if our landlord finds hershey. We both decided its worth the risk to give him a home where he can be loved. He is a 2yr old Chihuahua/ miniture doberman pincher mix.

He looks very similar to my dog, cookie monster. Good for you guys (and everyone else in the thread) for rescuing an animal. My husky is a rescue as well.

I actually have a picture of Aurora basically in that same position. No Price sheets though.
