Uncharted 2

It's even BETTER than the hype.

It's probably the best game this generation, in my opinion.

Some of the rings can come in handy, but I just preferred to not use them. For instance, there is a ring to keep you from getting knocked back when hit. That can come in really handy in at least one boss battle, but I wanted to finish the game without using it.

The one thing I was confused by in Oracle of Seasons was the concept of wearing a ring. The ring appraiser always keep mentioning that you have to wear the rings. I wasn't sure if I was wearing a ring or not. I had a ring box with three rings in it. If the ring is in my ring box, am I wearing it? Or do I need to equip with it (e.g, instead of using the shield, use a ring?).

Now that you completed it, will you play it again?

It confused me, too, at first.

The appraiser keeps all but one (or three, if you have the upgraded ring box) of your rings. If a ring is in your box, it will show up on one of the item screens you can pull up. I think it's the screen that comes up when you press start, then select. It's the one that shows which essences you have already won. You have to select a ring in this box for it to be equipped. Wearing a ring does not keep you from wearing your shield, but I think you can only wear one ring at a time. Also, rings don't wear out with time, despite what the game tells you.

I think there is an 'E' or other indicator next to a ring if you have it equipped. The easiest way to figure it out is to use one of the transforming rings, like the Like-like ring to make sure you're wearing it properly.

But, again, you don't really need to ever wear a ring to beat either game.

Yeah, I will - but not right away.

I am currently playing some multiplayer (which is genuinely fun), and will probably go back through the main game later to try and get more trophies and find all the treasures. Too many other things in the backlog to play through ONCE, though.

Uncharted looks awesome, and then some, but wasn't sure about the replay value.
Thanks!

Borderlands PC - second playthrough - Pistol based Hunter - I like my 2500+ crits with revolvers. Can you say one or two shot all bosses up to scrapyard?

That's why so many people didn't like that game.

Yeah. My launch GC was bought with this game. I finished it the same night I bought it. Which sucked, since I had no more money to buy another game.

But it is really cool looking and fun.

That's exactly how it was for me. I really want to like the game more, but I'm still bitter over the disappointment. I still remember how depressed I was playing my N64 again the day after Christmas.

Also, just beat Nights into Dreams! I can't tell if this vocal bit during the credits is awesome or terrible. "In the niiiiiiiiiiiight, dream deliiiiiiiiiight!"

Edit: Probably the latter.

Earlier today I beat Die Hard Arcade for the first time. I'm having trouble getting the running controls and combos down. Hopefully I'll get better with practice.

Deep Scan was actually pretty fun. I was a bit worried it wouldn't be.

Now I just need to buy a Saturn memory card and I'll be set!

Contra Rebirth Normal difficulty.
This game has insane replay value.
Now if Castlevania Rebirth would hurry up and be released.....

Sorry, but I have to list it. I just beat Jelly Car for the iPhone. Not sure if anyone has played this on the iPhone, X-Box, or PC, but it was pretty clever. Reminds me of World of Goo in how different of a game and how refreshing it is to play something unique and new. It took me some time to finish it as some levels were damn near impossible. Anyone with an iPhone, I highly recommend getting this game. There is a sequel out now too, but I think Disney has gotten involved so I am afraid of what it will be like.
