I'm starting to dislike the R5 controller more and more. I don't even navigate the menus with it now.
I saw a review video where the SNES Mouse is supported. Even in the Retron Menu, a mouse pointer!

Has anyone actually seen actual proof from Hyperkin on an updated hardware model with a possible fix of the cart connectors? A hope this is the reason behind the increased MSRP.

Of the two models, the black looks nicer. However, the color matching black cart slots seem hard to see, especially sitting inside an entertainment unit. This can be a pain aligning a specific brand game cart into the correct top loading slot. If I do jump in on this it would have to be the grey model with contrasting color indigo cart slots. For some reason the grey model costs more at Amazon. :?

@CRT - Have you checked your local FYE's? Dsh tipped me off to checking them out, and I passed that info to darsparx who also lucked out and found a unit at one near him.

i think i'm gonna go trade some stuff in at a local store and pick one of these up, preferably a black one. i played one this weekend at a con here in town and with no filters/scanlines on, the picture is really impressive. i understand what the initial hype was all about with the video quality.

Is there a way to change the menu color and sound? The red is hurting my eyes and they made the sound in the menu way too loud.

Thanks, I'll check it out if I can find any stores not closed down. I think there is still one or two left in the city somewhere. If on the cheap might dive in, though I would still have to invest in the digital sound to RCA jack analog sound conversion.

I think I mentioned I haven't had a system for awhile, I started an RMA in late August and after them blundering setting it up, then sending me a busted scratched unit, and 3x over failing to respond to my request for tracking last night I found i should have my system this afternoon finally (if it works.) This amounts to over 40 days. Ugh. I'll be placing 2.0b6 on there so I get the quick boot.

Huh UPS just pulled up, that's early they're usually late afternoon. I wonder if it's for me already and if it's another beat to shit broken unit or not. :D

You sure seem to be having trouble getting a decent unit(of course i don't think i've honestly really put mine through the ringer yet since I don't have a way to output sound, with the sales(and hopefully cyber monday) I'll get a proper tv to put on my desk.... maybe that way I can send sound to my soundbar?). Mine seems to work fine when I do use it though, I just have to remember to remove the carts the right way and it usually never fails me...

Is the quick boot included on 2.0b6? Or was that a separate download when it was first introduced (power on boot not fast cartridge load, that's why I kept mine at 2.0b6)
