What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I have a hot high maintenance wife who makes six figures and spends tons of dough.

She calls me and my daughter her "sugar babies."

Yup.

My wife:
no cell phone, no make up, no jewelry, no shopping habits, shared checking / savings and no debt. easy peasy pumpkin peasy.
My wife does have a smart phone, but is very low maintenance. She and I just operate differently when it comes to money.

Granted we both will tear up a flea market or thrift store for deals.

I'm kidding, mostly. Pretty scary world we live in and I definitely want my loved ones to have a mobile phone in case of emergencies.

She's small, but can change a tire. She's lived in the woods of Ely, MN (by the boundary waters), alone...for weeks...on her own - no modern conveniences, so knows how to handle anything nature will throw at her.

I teach self defense as part of my job and she's gone through the course a few times - she can handle most situations.

We of course hear often that we should have cells, but the truth is, neither of us can think of a time we've needed it. I won't go on my cell rant - but i'll say I truly think it (cells, texting, mindless gaming) is affecting our ability to communicate effectively, particularly in the workplace, and may have long-term (negative) consequences.
