I've noticed it too, but I have no clue why they do that. Sometimes the Steam title doesn't even match the logo (like STEINS;GATE is supposed to be just Steins;Gate).

Weirdest one I've seen so far is WORLD END ECOMONiCA episode.01 because in addition to it being mostly capitalized, for some reason it needs that random lowercase i and period.

CLANNAD
STEINS;GATE
fault complete edition
planetarian ~the reverie of a little planet~
Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.1 Onikakushi
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1
eden*
Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For-
Gaokao.Love.100Days

And those are just examples I pulled from the first page of results. Get your shit together Japan.

Sometimes I submit these games to RFGeneration and they "fix" the titles.

I had a weird moment today realizing I'm not particularly impressed with Deus Ex Human Revolution. Its not bad, but compared to similar games it feels lacking. I dunno, its kind of weird. I do think the glitches are a part of that, but overall I just feel kind of meh about it.

Level design is a bit too. I'm probably missing something obvious, but it feels to me like your options are really limited at times as to where to go.

You guys ever spend way too long stuck in a game because you couldn't open a door, only to realize you've been looking at the switch the whole time? That happened to me last night in Chaos Gate. I ran my troops all around the room thinking I'd eventually find a switch to two doors in the southern section of the area. After scrounging about for like half an hour, I finally opened a switch to a door on the north side and discovered it opened every door in the room, including the two to the south. To say I was annoyed was an understatement.

I missed a switch in Final Fantasy Mystic Quest and wrote Nintendo Power a letter asking what to do.

Do you remember if it got published in the magazine or counselor's corner? Cause if so I can try and track it down for you.

It was never published in the magazine. I got a nice typed response though, about four weeks later!

This was probably 1994 or so.

Poor game counselor probably wondered what the hell was wrong with me. I have very limited color vision, and as I recall there was one section of that game that simply looked one-note to me. I just couldn't "see" the switch - until its location was explained to me - as it blended in with everything else. I've had a similar issue with other games, but now I harass people on GameFAQs.

I have that game, but I have absolutely no idea how I'm supposed to pronounce it.

It's supposed to be pronounced "Hotaru no Nikki" (that's what it's called in Japanese). I can sort of see how "#NiQ" is "Nikki", but I have no idea how "htoL" is supposed to be "Hotaru".

Either way it's a really weird title and I'm not sure why it had to be spelled like that.

htoL would be broken up into syllables 'h'-'to'-'L', with the 'h' being 'ho', the 'to' being 'ta' and the 'L' being 'ru'...likely since native Japanese speakers have trouble differentiating between 'l' and 'r' sounds the way they are pronounced in English.
