Nice!

Frown: Wife left me a five dollar bill and a note that read "Buy candy for Halloween". Five bucks of candy will last about twenty minutes.
Had to have been a joke. Even the crap bags of smarties are $10 now.

Maybe get 500 pennies and put them in a candy bucket. Let her know she'll be the one to hose the eggs off in the morning.

Nope. She's clueless when it comes to dishing out candy. When we lived in an apartment, we'd have maybe a handful of visitors. Now that we're in a neighborhood...totally different story. Plus, I definitely will be passing out the candy as my wife gives out handfuls of candy at a time. With me you get a piece of candy and you better be happy with it.

I actually just got back home from Wal-Mart where I spent over twenty bucks on candy. The cashier asked where I lived, and when I said "in old Westhaven" she replied "You gonna need at least two more bags".

Same cashier asked me "Who is Stephen King?" (I'm wearing my Monster Squad inspired Stephen King Rules" t-shirt).

I'd say it depends on the piece of candy. If you're giving out those mini snickers bars, a tootsie-roll pop, or something like that, sure, a piece is plenty. But a single Hershey's Kiss...well, that kinda sucks. It's like giving away a single peanut M&M.

Next thing you know - the guy at Taco Johns will want to know if you want a side of gaucamole.

Don't forget the kitchen faucet and my brother in law's emails. ;)

When I was a trick or treater, one piece of candy wasn't frowned upon. Ladies who gave out pennies or bags of popcorn (or even worse, a toothbrush) were frowned upon.

Now I also may have made a mistake...I emailed my wife saying "Duder, even a bag of sweet-tarts costs more than a Lincoln". Her response "Luke, I've got less than a few hundred in my checking account". My response to that "Okay. I just transferred three hundred bucks into your checking account".

If she buys three hundred dollars worth of candy I have no one to blame besides myself.

Sometimes it sucks to live in the woods - I won't be seeing any kids tomorrow. :?

Still buying a single bag of candy just in case. Plus, I like Krackel. 8)

Not sure how you guys do the separate accounts thing. Seems like it could cause issues and just be a pain.
