Wii-U thoughts so far
Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
A big difference from their previous consoles is that their second holiday season wasn't accompanied by the launch of two other major competitors. I wouldn't expect much of a spike unless they have a major price drop and realease some real heavy hitters.

I expect a price drop with a must have bundle this holiday, it really should only be $300 and be packaged with a big title. There are already rumors of a Wind Wake bundle....so maybe then?

sell a 32gb or larger bundle with both Nintendoland and NSMBWU for $200 and I'll bite.KDub wrote:I expect a price drop with a must have bundle this holiday, it really should only be $300 and be packaged with a big title. There are already rumors of a Wind Wake bundle....so maybe then?

I don't know why Nintendo is being so goddamn stubborn abut a price drop for the Wii U. They made the right call with the 3DS, which certainly helped the momentum of that system.

I use a Pro Pad on pretty much any game that supports it. But just wanted to drop a word of warning, some of the third party ones are actually Wii controllers and the Wii's Pro Controller in a shell and do not work with Wii U titles.SamuraiMegas wrote:jesus the gamepad is terrible for tekken

The price drop could help them in short term but potentially harm them in the long run. If they start a trend where they give price drops not long after launch just because of lagging sales, then no one would wanna early adopt their consoles anymore. Two in a row might be enough to cause this negative effect.FerretGamer wrote:I don't know why Nintendo is being so goddamn stubborn abut a price drop for the Wii U. It is cheap enough console as it is. The thing is, on the surface it doesn't because it is competing with the slashed down 360 and PS3, when it is on a shelf come Christmas next to the PS4 and Xbone, it's price will appeal to a lot of parents.

That might help but people will really be missing out by skipping Nintendoland. NL is so much better than Wii Sports ever was. Oh well, I guess.
