I felt like the gameplay was the best of the Bioshocks and story was second to Bioshock 1.s1mplehumar wrote:I'm late to the party. I've had it since launch sitting there in the library. Sounds like a cool game, I'll have to check it out.ExedExes wrote:Based on BoneSnapDeez's latest Intellvision pickups over the weekend, I went over to check out some of the games he had on the Intellvision Lives! collection (on Gamecube) and I played THUNDER CASTLE. Now, he didn't pick this up (but he should!) because it has some of the best graphics on the Intellvision, plus you could play it forever and feel like you make progress with 3 distinct stages and some great music too. I love this.
I just looked it up online - it must be rare, $20 for cart-only copies! I've never spent more than $3 on an Intellivision game.

Re: What are you playing?
Got Lemmings on PSP today from a forum member.
Absolutely stormed through all the Fun levels. Then I stopped. I'm gonna save the game for TR (and I'll probably switch to the DOS version anyway).
This port is fantastic. The zoom-in and fast-forward functions are welcome additions.
I only have two minor complaints:
- there are load times between each level, which gets tiresome given how short all the levels are.
- most of the excellent "public domain" music from the original game has been replaced by a lackluster "ambient" soundtrack. This really bums me out as the original Lemmings OST is one of the best things about the original game.
With all that said - if you don't own Lemmings and do own a PSP - BUY THIS! Highly addictive.

I have no idea on Intellivision prices, but damn. It was going to be released in 1982 but more work was needed and then the crash came, so it was eventually released during the INTV period in 1986. Had no idea on its rarity either. Must check it out though. Very easy to control too, I found.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Sounds like a cool game, I'll have to check it out.

I have Thunder Castle. It took three years before I finally got a copy complete and in the condition I wanted. Definitely a great Intv title. The controls are better on the collection though 'cause Intellivision controllers are really worn out at this point.

Re: What are you playing?
This is the version I was considering going for, but I wasn't sure if it is a port of the original or if the levels are all new. Do you know? I was hoping to get something true to the first game in the series.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Got Lemmings on PSP today from a forum member.

Same levels!
Obviously the graphics are overhauled, but the gameplay is completely intact. It feels like the original game.

Re: What are you playing?
I can't wait for Lemmings either. I've got the original PC floppy disk that came with a Sound Blaster card. The only issue is that it has a copy protection scheme that requires the disk to play it, and I've only got 1 computer with a disk drive. More research is needed.
EDIT: Turns out I had it installed and ready to go with the copy protection disabled, eliminating the need for the floppy disk

Original PC 2d lemmings? I wish I still had that game! I've tried the later 3d versions and was completely uninterested.
Right now I've got the latest patched Shining Force ]I[ on deck as soon as I finish Shining Force 2 (XBOX360). Rayman Legends and various other Saturn shooters fill in the gaps.
Recently picked up a practically un-used N64 system + controllers and bought a SuperMario64 cart. Very excited to get into that
