Batman on the Genesis.
When I bought my Genesis, it came with Altered Beast and a promotion of a free game. You could check a box on which game you wanted on the post card you sent out, but the post card also stated "you'll get what we send you" or something close to that. I remember wanting Hard Drivin, but received Batman. Good on you Sega, good on you.
I still love the Genesis "Batman". The graphics are great, you get to drive the batmobile, fly the batwing, and it's a game that is beatable in less than an hour.
I still love the game's soundtrack. Some games define the "sound" of a brand, and some games define the "sound" of a system. Maybe it's because I got the game near launch, but Batman just sounds like a Genesis game, if that makes sense.

Shining Force (PS3)
Wow. So I loved Shining Force. I'm so glad it was picked for TR. Much like Phantasy Star last year, it was proof to me that Sega had some amazing RPG's in the 8 and 16-bit eras that were unfairly overshadowed by Nintendo's offerings. Obviously this game was far more basic than something like Final Fantasy Tactics that came much later, but for a 16-bit SRPG, it's pretty great. I didn't find it very hard. In fact there were only a small handful of battles I had trouble with. And oddly, I found the last two battles super easy. But having said that, it was fun the whole way through. I never felt annoyed or bored. It was just plain fun. I think I'll definitely be delving further into the Shining Force series having completed this one!

I lost count of my completed. I tend to nurse games to 100% before moving on, so my list is probably just shy of 20 or so.

Full list:
Nemesis Game Boy
Disney's Aladdin Mega Drive
Total: 71
Nemesis was a fun little port of Gradius. I was suprised by how much could appear on screen without much flicker or slowdown on the Game Boy, it was rather impressive. The usual Gradius issues apply, its really brutal if you die and lose or your power ups, resulting in a continuous death cycle. There are only 5 levels and they fly by fairly quick when you get the hang of them, and all the bosses are very easy - especially the final boss. It's definitely a fun enough little game to enjoy, but not a must own by any means.
Aladdin was a very pretty game, the animations and spritework was rich, colourful and in keeping with the film, it looked great. The music wasn't bad, although whenever the game used music composed just for this game, it was rather forgettable. The 16 bit renditions of the films music were good though. The gameplay of this game was decent, the levels followed the film in a loose sense, whilst adding a little of their own to make it work as a game and to stretch it out and add a little more content to the experience. The jumping felt a little off, but it wasnt terrible. The main issue was the game suffered from odd difficulty spikes every so often, especially one level where you must escape a collapsing cave, where I burned through about a dozen lives. Overall, like Nemesis, it's a fun game on the cheap, but not a must-own for the system by any means.
Next up: Definitely Skyward Sword, I've been playing that almost constantly for the last week. After that, no idea, maybe some Sonic Adventure or Sonic Unleashed, or maybe I'll play the disc one demo of Panzer Dragoon Saga.

Yeah, shame I don't often hear people talk about this one. I enjoyed it too. Yet another good Batman game to disprove the myth that there weren't anything prior to Batman Arkham Asylum. Some people don't realize that the 16-bit era had a pretty good amount of quality licensed games. It's funny that back then major companies like Sega, Konami and Capcom made them too
I'm glad you mentioned the vehicles. As good and as thorough as Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are at presenting the full Batman experience, both games shy away from playable vehicle segments for some reason. It can't be that hard to do

Surely you guys aren't talking about the Mortal Kombat / Batman Forever? Yikes!
The NES games and the SNES beat em' up Batman Returns were amazing though. Adventures of Batman & Robin based off TAS wasn't too bad either.

The First 50 Games of the Year
The Stanley Parable - PC
Age of Zombies - PSMini (PSP)
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice For All - NDS
Star Wars Trilogy Arcade - Arcade
The Binding of Isaac - PC
Dead Island - PC
Dead Space 2 - 360
EcoQuest: The Search for Cetus
Magicka - PC
Games Completed: 59
Thoughts on Games:
I completely loved Magicka, the atmosphere, the original and fun gameplay, all of it. I played through the entire thing with a buddy and for the most part it made the game easier, but the second last level, the lava part, I have never been so frustrated in co-op in my life.
A real challenge and a real treat, cant wait for the new DLC campaign, finally something worthwhile, only the Vietnam DLC is worth money.

You already beat Skyrim? Holy Shnikes, I thought it was supposed to be some game of epic proportions, and it can be beaten in less than two weeks? That's actually kind of disappointing to hear.

Not sure how much dough you had at the end of Duck Tales, but if you enjoy the game (who doesn't?) play it again and try to find the 2 lost treasures, which will boost your score and give you an alternate ending.
Beat The Force Unleashed II late last night. Okay, a few things:
I was told the game was fairly short. I knew that when I bought the game, and the fact it's a shorter game doesn't bother me. I also knew it was a game only made because of the success of its predecessor. I'm fine with that too. What did bother me was that the clerk said, "it picks up right after the last game". That's a semi-truth, as *spoilers* there are two endings to the first game...
