This thread has becoming depressing to me as it is a reminder that the thrift store around the corner from me which had been the main source of the gems in my collection (as well as a means of income/supporting my collecting habit by Ebaying) closed down three weeks ago. :(

But with that being said congrats to you guys who week after week are still finding some ultra rad video games and related collectibles.

Until a find a new thrift store I shall look upon this thread with a great deal of envy.

I just found a new game store in town. :D
I got the following PS2 games in complete with original box and manual:
Virtual-On Marz: $12
Suikoden III: $12
La Pucelle Tactics: $2
Zone of the Enders: $1
Ys Ark of Napishtim: $7

I was ecstatic, but I was kind of hoping they had Xenosaga III. That game has eluded my grasp far too many times. Just today, I found a Gamestop in my area that had it, but a guy called 5 minutes before I got there, and reserved it. :(

Alpine's find has reminded me how much I loved the original Xbox, and how I wish it had lasted longer than 4 years.

Your gamestop will hold games for people?! Mine won't :(

Gamestop has no hold rule where they have to hold, some just do it out of kindness. When I was a Store Manager I would hold but only for 24 hrs and not on new releases.

Maybe the guy was a regular too. When I worked at the anime store, if a random person called about some new release we'd gotten within the last few days, we might hold something an hour. If it was a good regular customer or something that was older, we'd probably hold it a week or two.
