Yes, I remember that crap. For whatever reason Walmart over-staffs the day shift while the night shift is essentially a skeleton crew if everyone shows up. When I was there I usually had three or four departments to run by myself, while on days there'd be at least one person per department, usually two. When there's no customers they get to stand around and talk. And during the first hour or two of my shift, which usually overlapped the last one or two hours of the day shift, I'd end up doing their job for them while they acted like they didn't see the customers needing help. I don't understand why Walmart treats the day shift so much better even though they make less money per hour and have a higher turnover rate than nights.AppleQueso wrote:It's an utter disaster any time any of us goes on vacation, calls in sick, etc. It's even worse when multiple of us are out. Wow, just thinking about my old job got me complaining. I so don't miss retail.
