that reminds me, someone can edit out the link to the dead "finds of the year" thread from the OP since that quickly became as banal as this.Hobie-wan wrote:Remember when this thread was about awesome good ok shit people paid average price at a large retail chain store?

I would have posted my find from last June in there, but you'd already locked it.dsheinem wrote:that reminds me, someone can edit out the link to the dead "finds of the year" thread from the OP since that quickly became as banal as this.Hobie-wan wrote:Remember when this thread was about awesome good ok shit people paid average price at a large retail chain store?

No one was giving you shit man, the Cheetahmen cart just sparked a discussion about the controversy surrounding it. Nuthin' to do with you personally.YoshiEgg25 wrote:Thanks.dunpeal2064 wrote: To each their own, I am actually quite jelly of that Cheetahmen cart Yoshi.
I've been getting a lot of shit here lately over random stuff. If this was noise or someone who got this, I wonder if they'd be giving them shit over it.
I've barely played any non-arcade games in the past year or so, which is why I haven't been over here, and probably why people now feel like they can give me shit over this stuff? I wasn't getting derided over crap at this time last year.
Whatever. I'm still cooler than they are.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Yesterday I got a Sony PVM-2950 from a Craigslist seller for $50. I had to drive 4 hours round trip to go get it. I have been looking for a PVM for several months and this is the first one to pop up on Craigslist anywhere near me.
The screen is in great shape and the my Genesis looks fantastic on it just via composite. I can't wait to get it hooked up via RGB SCART but I am going to wait until I get a 32X since that requires a different cable from my model 1 Genesis.
The only thing wrong with it is that the casing is a bit beat up on the sides. It kind of looks like a dog tried to gnaw on it. It also has a faint cigarette odor to it. I am continuing to clean it and I am pretty sure I can get the smell out but it doesn't bother me as is.

Picked up Conker Live & Reloaded for $23, not bad since they normally go for $40 and up.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
At last Sunday's only boot sale I found...
GBA 172 in 1, no repeat, £1.50p
Destruction Derby, NTSC/U £1
Def Jam FFNY 50p
MK Deadly Alliance 50p
Ravin Rabbid 20p
Won a Mega CD lot on ebay which contained...
Mega Cd MK1
Megadrive MK1
All wires and power packs
3 controllers
Most of us know what these look like, hence no picture
The CD was listed as faulty, not powering up
The MD was also listed as having a dodgy power switch
Once home I swapped the MD for a known working one, the Mega CD lit up like a christmas tree
What really caught my interest with this lot was the accessories and games with it...
The seller gave me the following for FREE
...
Interestingly the third disc, Keio Flying Sqadron was a demo given away with a copy of Sega Pro magazine.
The game returns to the start at the end of the first level.
However using a cheat it's possible to open up the option to start at any level, which were mistakenly included on the disc
Cost £44 collected
Best for last...
Pink controller £5.20p
Trizeal LE with bonus tracks and bandanna £59
